Chapter 260 - Owner, Administrator & Moderator

Elysir's words left me thinking. Did I want Albedo to go? I didn't know... for starters, I didn't know what I felt for her... or what she felt for me. What I knew was that our union was segmented in feelings of hate and hatred, not love.

So I wanted to give her this last chance to decide what she wanted to do. She has already tasted me, which means that she more than likely won't be able to leave me even if she wants... but if her willpower and hatred are enough to overcome her desires, I guess she deserves that freedom.

I shifted my attention from this matter. Anna was still in her cocoon.

"Ray, what is going on?" Alana asked me from the surface. I descended to the ground and explained that while I didn't know what was happening to Anna, I knew it was not something detrimental.

"Galadriel, do you know?".

"I have no idea, my dear. I have no knowledge of forest elves being capable of undergoing any evolution. I guess this is her blessing, she may become an existence even higher than us Midnight Elves" Galadriel said, her body began to shrink.

We wouldn't know until it was finished.

Alana and the four dark elf sisters recalled their army back into the elf kingdom as per my orders to deal with any leftover insurgent groups still loyal to Decem Hougan. Then I approached the dragons that had surrendered and lay low. From the start, it didn't look like they had the intention to fight.

"Vaision".

"Osiris, who would have thought... you'd see me torn like this".

The Platinum Dragon was injured, serving as nothing more than a mount for the Undead King.

"What is the situation in the Argland Council State?" I asked him, to which the dragon stared at me deeply, "There is still a great army of undead stationed at our state, keeping our citizens hostage. I don't have a choice".

"I understand. Galadriel, would you be a dear and deal with this matter for me?"

"D-Dear... are you asking me for a favour?" Galadriel looked shocked. I guess it is not usual for me to ask her for anything. Usually, I just let her do whatever she wants... but I can't leave Anna here on her own, and if Galadriel goes, it should be done in a heartbeat.

"Yes, would you do it?".

"Of course!".

She rejoiced, transformed back into her gigantic form and picked up three dragons like they were potatoes, heading back towards the Argland Council State. Vaision stared at me with a troubled look as I waved them goodbye.

"W-why?! Why won't you finish us?!"

He asked me as he went, but I didn't answer that question.

'It feels as if everyone in this world thinks I am a villain... last time we fought because you proactively antagonised me... why are you making it look like I am the bad one?'.

I sighed and levitated in front of the cocoon, waiting for it to 'hatch'.

Half a day had gone by, and Anna had yet to come out, until finally... the cocoon began to crack, and from it I felt a huge aura.

[It is resonating].

'Horus...?'.

[Whatever it is that she has become... is resonating with the Septem Diebus, Ray].

'...'

Soon, the cocoon exploded in brilliance, so bright in fact that the night became the day for several minutes. A silhouette emerged. It was Anna, but she looked different.

What called my attention the most, aside from the fact that she was naked and her body had matured a lot, was that she had a crown. However, this crown was not artificial and rather, it was like she had horns on her head, which took the shape of a crown... she looked regal.

Her blonde hair was now extending so low that it even surpassed her toes, almost resembling Rapunzel. Massive boobs, slender waist, perked-up butt... but those were assets Anna already had. Only, they looked more delicious now.

She also had a halo of light on her back that resembled wings, but they were not attached to her body. Her skin looked unblemished, like she had just been born into the world.

Lastly, her hands were holding the staff.

When her eyes opened, they were golden and shiny, mythical runes flashed through them, and then, it resonated again, this time even notifying me.

[The system of Yggdrasil is requesting to pair... do you wish to synchronise? (Yes/No)]

"Oh, no..." I gulped and watched Anna approach as if in a trance and kneel down in front of me like a loyal servant.

It is the same. Just like with the heavens, when I became their God. However, what is the system of Yggdrasil? I remember when I massaged Anna for the first time, she obtained a racial trait: Administrator of Yggdrasil. Although I didn't know then and still don't know what it means.

Without much of a choice, I pressed 'yes'.

[Septem Diebus Fortunae has been acknowledged].

[Sharing privileges from both systems].

[Synchronising systems... synchronisation completed].

[Merging systems... merge completed].

[Synchronising hosts...]

Memories began ruminating in my mind, foreign ones... but they were muffled. And also, they were avarice's memories!

Avarice arrived in this world weakened after a huge fight. He created this system with the purpose of obtaining energy in the form of darkness and evil energy that spread in the land. For that sake, he infected every single being in this world with this system that would create 'quests' and 'missions'.

The quests and missions, which supposedly aimed for the individual to become stronger, were a trap in which the races slaughtered one another, brewing darkness and evil feelings that fueled and regenerated Avarice; those evil feelings were his faith.

Having regenerated enough, Avarice fought against the Midnight Elves and the Dragons who sought who stop him for decades. To defeat them, he spread his claws to other worlds, using the system to summon 'Overlords' into this world.

This fight only prolonged and marked the defeat of dozens of dragon kings and midnight elves at the spear of foreign gods that allied with Avarice, although they didn't even know... they just followed the system's quests.

I recalled when Akeno and Rias were tasked to kill Galadriel back in the dungeon, they too had been infected with this system upon arrival.

Galadriel was the one who managed to seal avarice in the end, although for this she had to sacrifice herself, and it was only a seal which he was fated to eventually break by corrupting her.

The system of Yggdrasil, no... the Game of Yggdrasil was a deadly trap that summoned people into this world with the sole intention of creating chaos and destruction, fueling Avarice's faith.

He sealed the 'key' of this system into the strongest 'world item'. That was Ains Ooal Gown's staff... which resonated with the Administrator of Yggdrasil upon contact.

'It makes sense now...'

[System new owner 'Sun Overgod, Ray Lux' has been acknowledged].

[System Administrator's Elf Goddess, Anna Blair' has been acknowledged].

Several options appeared in a list. It was a list of names of elves I had interacted with... I was baffled. On top of all names, there was the one I was looking for.
