I looked around the world alongside Anna, whom I was holding in my arms.
It was the night, but it didn't look like the night. Pillars of golden and silver light were shooting up to the skies alongside surprised screams of mystery as far as the eye could see towards the east, the Elf Kingdom. And also, at the southeast, the Dark Elf Villages.
I took a deep breath as new information flowed alongside Energy Records. This didn't happen before when I became the God of the Starlight Angels. I could feel the location of every single elf in this world... like they were my dependents.
They were changing and evolving.
[-17.000 Chaos Points].
Their numbers were roughly the same as those of the angels, but they were not such a joint community.
"Uhm?"
Anna's eyes fluttered open. She looked at me first and cleaned her eyes, unaware of her own changes.
"Ray?"
"You're awake, Anna. Congratulations on becoming a deity~"
She looked around a bit confused, perhaps not even having memories of what just happened, as I was making a contract with the system of Yggdrasil that used her as a medium, not her directly.
"What happened? Where are we? W-What are these screens?".
Just when she woke up, several screens began to manifest next to her. They were similar to those game interfaces with options. We inspected them together.
She had a list of quests, a list of all adventurers, a world map that pointed at the locations of all living beings in the world, which she could even classify. It was ridiculous and way more advanced compared to the heavens' system, or at least it wasn't as automatic and allowed more input from administrators.
She felt understandably overwhelmed with so many options and such a massive responsibility all of a sudden. Although she was the 'Elf' Goddess, she had control over all living beings in this world, even those underwater, not just elves.
Just like it was at the beginning, as per Galadriel's tales, where Elves and Dragons ruled this world. Now, it was only her.
"Don't worry, Anna... I am with you," I reassured her. She must be feeling the same way I did when I first got Energy Records. Rather than feeling powerful and almighty, you just feel small and powerless in front of this huge responsibility.
Anna only hugged me and nodded
"We can study it little by little. Let's go back for now. Alana must be worried".

In the capital city of the Re-Estize Kingdom, Re-Estize... two silhouettes materialised out of nowhere alongside a mysterious mist. It was a secret headquarters in the city that resembled a noble family manour, but couldn't be any farther from the truth.
This manor's insides were crowded with undead and slimes.
"Ains-sama!" Narberal went to aid her master while Sebas Tian aided Albedo.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" Albedo slapped the shocked Sebas Tian's hand away from her body, while Narberal also stared aghast, helping the not-so-surprised Ains, who expected this behaviour from her.
Albedo then crawled on the ground like a snake, getting closer and closer to the nearest window but unable to stand up, feeling electrical currents all over her body. She felt like her lower waist was itching, but the itch was the most intense she had ever felt in her life. However, deep inside... her senses told her where to go.
Albedo finaly stood up next to the window and looked back at what she was leaving behind. Two lonely tears left her eyes, with her long nails, she made a mark on the wall... a small code.
"Goodbye, Ains-sama... I am sorry, I can't live without him".
"Albedo, wait!–"
*BAANG!*
She burst through the window and flew away. Albedo didn't even look back, such was her desperate demeanour. There was only the place she had to go, what she had to do... how this sad story had to end.
Sebas Tian watched her go, but upon seeing Ains make no action, he didn't give chase.
"What is wrong with her, Ains-sama?"
"She is gone... we can't recover her, Sebas Tian".
"Please give orders".
Narberal Gamma and Sebas Tian, her last two NPC, awaited orders. However, Ains sat down in a nearby sofa, watching as they were surrounded by undead but also slimes... the same slimes that were now under Osiris' control because Solution Epsilon's loyalty had shifted.
"..." He remained silent.
Aura and Mare had been captured in the Elf Kingdom, and the Argland Council State would surely be assaulted and conquered in no time by the Elf Rebels.
Solution, Shaltear and Albedo... had all shifted loyalty and betrayed Nazarick.
*BOOMM!!*
Explosions blasted outside, and they realised it was the Starlight Angels who had begun to assault the Re-Estize Kingdom, trying to flee the slaves that were being held within the territory. Communicating scrolls resonated; it was Princess Renner's faction requesting assistance.
In front of all this, Ains Ooal Gown remained quiet and sighed a breath of desolation.
"There is nothing to do. Osiris has won this war. It is game over".
'If I keep quiet, at least I can be back... but then, Nazarick... what we worked so hard to create, will I just surrender it?'.
He had already resigned until he recalled Albedo's expression and then saw what she had written next to the window, the same window from which the bright moon hanging out from the skies was visible, together with the faraway shooting light pillars.
It said 'Eclipse'.
'To go back to Japan, for what? To be a salaried man once more. No, I can only give it all or die here...'
"Narberal Gamma, Sebas Tian... come with me".
*WHOOSH!*
Bones pierced the cores of all the slimes in the room, destroying them without prior notice and also a great portion of the room. To deal with Solution, normal spells were no longer efficient. Narberal and Shaltear both stared at him, confused; they didn't know of Solution and Shaltear's betrayal.
An armour appeared around Ains Ooal Gown, a dark blue armour that transformed him into the Adamantite-ranked Adventurer, Momom.
"Are you both ready to die for Nazarick?".
"YES!"
Both NPCs answered without the slightest doubt.
"Then let's go, our only chance is to meet Black Scripture, there is no time".
