From this point on, with our conquest of the Elf Kingdom, things could only move forward on the continent. Galadriel returned the next day after eliminating all of the undead that invaded the Argland Council State rather easily.
She didn't spend a day eliminating them, she only spent about half an hour, of which ten minutes was what took her to travel around a hundred miles, then the rest of the time was spent helping heal up the injured dragon kings while also pushing forward our agenda, saying that they were saved thanks to the Sun God and also giving the news about the Elf Kingdom.
They had expected her to go rampant due to her power and size, to eliminate the aristocrats and impose our Sun Church, but upon freeing them and delivering her message, Galadriel just left…
Why? Because the Argland Council State is not an enemy. They don't worship any God at all, and there are no religious determinations in the region. There are also minimal slaves as slavery is illegal in the territory, and it can be dealt with in no time.
Dragons rule, that's all. But those dragons are benevolent, peaceful and rather straight-headed.
The Argland Council State and the Roble Holy Kingdom were two of the most 'civil' territories on the continent.
Rather than try to conquer them, it was better just to keep them as allies. Let alone, the reason Vaision and I fought in the first place was because he believed me to be an invader, someone with ill intentions in the world. I couldn't blame him for that.
Soon, they'd send their delegates to the Dragon Kingdom or the Elf Kingdom to discuss diplomacy with the Sun Church, solve misunderstandings and form an equivalent relationship of commerce and goods. By the way, they'd sit right in front of Ophis during those negotiations with Aqua working as a spokesperson... and that's when they will begin worshipping. Until then, I'd allow them to recover.
Ains Ooal Gown did manage to kill two Dragon Kings, but it was a massive loss for them that couldn't be recovered.
...
During the day and until night, Anna marched to the capital slowly, making her identity as a Goddess/Empress known to all elves; her appearance alone made everyone bow. The elves didn't even have time to inspect themselves and their changes. They noticed their odd characteristics, their power... and when they saw me with her, they felt the inner desire to immediately worship me.
In the same way, I also felt the need to protect them. Unlike the Star Angels, who were rather strong and self-sufficient, the elves had a long way to go before the region reached stability. The miracle of evolution not only made them stronger, but it also healed all elves who had suffered during the skirmishes and even those who had previous injuries and disabilities. All elves, regardless of race, were now brand new, and those dark elves from the tribes had already begun to march here in search of answers.
The main city had been chaotic with the fight between the insurgents and Decem Hougan's people, while there were places untouched, some others were in ruins. Elves were left homeless, kids had starved and although the evolution erased that hunger, if not fed, they'd be hungry again.
They may have evolved, but they're not gods.
With Sir Caspian dead, law and order were in disorder, and reforms would be needed. Anna was the Empress, the Goddess… but she needed to appoint her government, for that, she'd need advice.
We were close, but there was still a lot of work to do. Revolution was moving fast, we needed to put all matters in order while also continuing our operation, and slaves still had to be saved.
I was faring quite well... it doesn't matter how much work there is, we have a load of capable people and there will be even more after I call Gabriel and Michael to assist. Now that the Elves are a race dependent on me, Star Elves, they're 'siblings' of the Star Angels. So those two better get their asses here and start helping their siblings.
Someone who wasn't doing well, though, was Anna; she still couldn't believe we had achieved it and that massive responsibility had just fallen on her shoulders. Alana, who should be there to provide support as her sister, looked just as nervous.
I sighed and whispered something in her ears, and she nodded. She led me to the middle of the city and used the system to give orders. The elves all instinctively started coming to the plaza with her mere input. And so, she addressed the crowd.
"In a day, we shall address our noble subjects for the first time, please wait patiently... There is work to be done, but we are powerful, organised and ready. Please be patient" Anna begged the crowd as if she were a public servant instead of their goddess. Not only in words but even as a mental message through the system. She could address the whole world, but she focused only on elves.
Having said that, and much to my amazement, Anna created a portal to the moonlight mist and collapsed upon arrival, hugging her knees with a panicked expression.
"What am I going to say all of a sudden, Ray?!".
"…" She was acting all confident and mighty for the first half an hour, but the more people she saw and the more chaotic the social state was, the more pressure mounted on her.
'How the hell did she even manage to open a portal to the moonlight mist? Is that one of her abilities as a goddess?' I wondered as I was not notified of such, as it would usually be.
"Oh my, one more, thankfully~" Haku manifested out of nowhere, embracing me from behind, "It is relieving that she's able to use this power as well, master... I was starting to feel a bit pressured~".
Haku's responsibilities were huge; she was the only one able to create portals aside from me, and she created at least a hundred a day.
The vixen bit my ears and whispered, "Now we can have more time for us~"
I pushed her away, having a healthy reaction myself, "Calm down, Haku… now is not the time for that".
"Soon it will be~" The Yokai giggled but didn't release me.
...
My people kept manifesting one by one through portals. Kurumi and Solution also popped up alongside Demiurge and the Pleiades. The whole team had assembled.
"How did you manage to create a portal, Anna?" I asked the girl and patted her back.
"H-Huh? I don't know... I just thought I wanted to come here, and it happened" The cute elf tilted her head and her ears fluttered.
"It just happened...?" I scratched my head; someone patted my back. It was Elysir, who had also arrived in the mist.
"That's how Godhood usually works, Ray. If you had been strong enough when you got Energy Records as planned, you would have learned how to use it with your mere instinct. This girl likely has her pocket dimension that she can access as one of her abilities as a Goddess... but since she has been more into 'your' pocket dimension, she's more familiar with it than her own. That's a problem..." Elysir mumbled in consideration and then sighed, "It means she can innately access yours, but she will need to train to access her own..."
I patted Anna's head, the meek girl leaned on me with those puppy eyes and long ears, how cute.
"We will look into your new abilities later, now..."
"There is no need to concern ourselves with this for now, Ray", Elysir signalled, "We should have a meeting to decide how things are going to get handled from now on. Although I am not an administrator of the Yggdrasil system, I can give some advice to Anna as the Septem Diebus' administrator," Elysir remarked.
"That would be for the best. Many unexpected things happened outside of our understanding, but everything was for the best in the end. Our objectives haven't changed, girls," I said to everyone and caressed Katsuyu's head, she was listening too, from my shoulder.
We were all reunited.
