A series of explosions erupted farther across the battlefield, drawing my attention toward another section of the sky.
Seras was already there.
She had reached a helicopter hovering above a damaged ship, and her fighting style was considerably different from mine. While I relied on the power and versatility of my two blades, she wielded her estoc with precise, economical movements that wasted almost no energy.
Her weapon was slender and designed for thrusting, allowing her to concentrate force into a narrow point rather than relying on broad, sweeping cuts.
"She's as graceful as ever..." I muttered, looking at her.
She launched herself upward from the ship's deck, her body rising in a smooth arc as the aircraft turned to face her. The gunner opened fire immediately, sending a stream of bullets toward her approaching figure.
Seras twisted her torso and shifted her legs, slipping between the incoming rounds with movements so controlled that she barely seemed to lose momentum.
