Wonderland Space.
After lunch and a short rest, Nolan took Noelle by the hand and brought her around the space to pick a room she liked.
There were still plenty of unoccupied rooms on the first floor, all of similar size and layout. She could choose whichever she wanted and decorate it however she pleased later.
As Noelle walked past Nolan's room, she instinctively glanced at the neighboring rooms and noticed they were already taken. A faint trace of disappointment appeared on her face.
Nolan noticed and wrapped an arm around her waist with a grin.
"How about just living with me then? My bed's big enough, after all!"
"P-Please don't say something so improper!"
Noelle's pale cheeks turned scarlet, as if her secret thoughts had been suddenly exposed.
Seeing such an adorable reaction, Nolan couldn't help but chuckle softly.
Before long, Noelle chose a room—it was right behind Fischl's, and Fischl's was directly beside Nolan's.
So in reality, Noelle's room was very close to his.
Once the room was decided, Nolan pulled in Mona—who had just finished resting and was about to get back to her astrology research—and Fischl, who had returned for lunch, to help Noelle set up her space.
It didn't require much actual setup. They just needed to go to the furniture shop in Mondstadt to buy a bed, wardrobe, desk, and other essentials.
Then they returned to the women's dormitory at the Knights of Favonius to move over Noelle's bedding, clothes, and personal belongings.
By the time they were done, it was nearly 3 p.m.—just in time for afternoon tea.
Noelle asked Nolan and the others to wait in the living room while she went to the kitchen to prepare snacks.
"Phew, I didn't expect moving a few things would be this exhausting."
Mona slumped into the sofa cushions, completely worn out. Fischl wasn't faring much better. For some reason, doing housework felt even more tiring than adventuring in the wild.
"Maybe your physical strength isn't good enough. Here, let me help you both out a little."
Thanks to the enhancements Nolan had provided them, both Mona and Fischl were over level 80. There was no way their stamina was lacking—clearly, they were just being lazy.
Nolan didn't call them out on it, though. Using that excuse, he slipped between the two of them and pulled them into his arms.
"Hmph. You just want to take advantage of us again,"
Mona said as she lay curled against his arm, poking his cheek with a finger and feigning annoyance.
After spending so much time with him, there was no hiding his little schemes anymore.
"What do you mean, take advantage? We're basically like an old married couple at this point. This is just bonding! How could you call it taking advantage?"
Nolan huffed in protest as he reached over to tickle her side. Mona flinched and instinctively clamped down on his hand.
"Idiot, what do you think you're doing?!"
She scolded him, pinching his nose in retaliation.
Unable to breathe from the pinch, Nolan had no choice but to give her a taste of her own medicine!
With that thought, he leaned forward and sealed Mona's lips with his own.
"Mmm!"
As Mona was kissed, she felt that familiar energy circulating through her body—enhancing her physique. The flow of power not only strengthened her, but also left her in a deeply comfortable, almost dreamy state.
In that state, her body felt completely limp, relaxed to the point of having no strength at all—she could only let Nolan do as he pleased.
"Hmph!"
Fischl, wearing her signature black eyepatch, puffed out her pale cheeks in slight irritation as she watched Nolan and Mona.
She spread her legs wrapped in mismatched black stockings and straddled Nolan, then leaned down and brought her lips toward his as well.
Nearly an hour later, sensing that Noelle was about to come out of the kitchen, Nolan quickly helped tidy up the two girls' slightly disheveled clothes.
After all, Noelle had just moved into the Wonderland Space, and it wouldn't be the best look if she saw this sort of indecent daily routine right off the bat.
Noelle emerged from the kitchen holding freshly baked pastries. Fortunately, she didn't notice anything unusual. She gently placed the tray on the table and looked at Nolan.
"Honorary Knight, would you please call Captain Jean and Miss Lisa?"
"No problem."
Nolan nodded and used the "Waymark" to instantly notify Jean and Lisa to come back for afternoon tea and enjoy some sweets.
Afterward, he went to the kitchen with Mona and Fischl to help carry out the rest of the snacks.
Soon, everyone had gathered, and while enjoying afternoon tea, Captain Jean brought Noelle some wonderful news.
The results of the theoretical portion of the knight selection exam had been released. The maximum score was 30 points, with 25 points required to pass.
Noelle had scored exactly 25—just enough to pass!
"W-What? R-Really?"
Even though Noelle had been confident, hearing she had actually passed filled her with uncontrollable joy.
"Of course it's true, little Noelle. Do you really think someone as serious as Jean would joke about that?"
Lisa, wearing her pointed witch's hat, smiled gently.
With that firm reassurance, Noelle's joy shone from the inside out. She nodded vigorously and declared:
"Once I officially become a Knight of Favonius, I will learn everything I can from my seniors and strive to become an outstanding knight! I hope that one day, I can fight alongside Captain Jean!"
"Your talents are clear for all to see, Noelle. I believe you'll achieve everything you set your heart on," Jean replied warmly. Other than lacking some experience, she already saw Noelle as a fine Knight of Favonius.
"Mm-mm! I-I'll go make some more pastries!"
Overjoyed at receiving Jean's recognition, Noelle dashed back to the kitchen, eager to express her gratitude with her best treats yet.
"Hehe… Little Noelle is just too adorable," Lisa chuckled as she watched her rush off.
"Noelle's about to become an official knight, but she's still lacking in experience. How do you plan to arrange her duties, Captain Jean?"
Nolan asked with concern.
"Amber is the only member of the Scout Knight unit, and their workload is relatively light. I plan to have her mentor Noelle and Ellin."
Jean had already considered the matter in advance.
"That sounds like a good idea," Nolan nodded in agreement. But after a moment, he added, "Still, without those two as your secretaries, won't all the daily chores pile up again? Don't tell me you'll be back to endless overtime?"
"Well…"
Jean couldn't deny it—these past days had shown her just how much easier things were with two secretaries helping handle all the miscellaneous work.
Now that both Noelle and Ellin would be reassigned, it was likely she'd have to take on those duties herself again.
