Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: I am Erosion? How can I survive?

"Ding-a-ling-a-ling ~ Ding-a-ling-a-ling ~"

A bell alarm rang, and a caterpillar on the bed squirmed a few times before falling silent again as the ringing stopped.

"Ding-a-ling-a-ling ~ Ding-a-ling-a-ling ~"

As the alarm rang again, a hand stretched out from the edge of the caterpillar, trying to reach the alarm clock.

After fumbling for a long time without finding the alarm clock, the person pulled her hand back into the caterpillar.

After a while, the caterpillar on the bed slowly sat up, revealing its true form beneath the covers.

Sitting on the bed, she dozed off for a bit longer, then seemed to wake up a little.

She leaned her upper body back, stretched both arms vigorously to the sides, and then relaxed.

She placed her hands in front of herself, looking at her pure white hands, and unconsciously sighed.

She was certain that she was already dead. In her memory, she was driving when, due to a slippery road in the rain and not maintaining a safe distance, she rear-ended a semi-trailer in front of her, and then was rear-ended by another car following behind.

When she first regained consciousness, she thought someone had rescued her and that she had woken up in a hospital.

But no matter how she called for help, no one came to her.

When she realized there was no one, she tried to sit up and then found that she could move easily; her body seemed as if it had never been in a car accident.

But when she looked down at her body, she knew it wasn't her body.

This body had no other color; it was pure white, like an uncolored, lineless sketch, with only light and shadow drawn.

She experienced initial panic, then worried and feared for a long time, thinking she had been captured by some strange person.

But she didn't know how long it had been, and no one ever came to this strange room.

She also slowly began to give up.

After all, she had nothing now.

Although it was quite boring here, at least she could rest for a while; she could get a good rest before she went crazy.

The previous alarm sound had rung by itself in this space, as if reminding her of something.

At first, she tried to find the source of the alarm; if it was an alarm clock, she would turn it off, and if it was a phone, that would be even better.

But she couldn't find it at all, even though the sound was right by her ear, very close to her.

Shaking her head, the figure lay back down on the bed.

Looking at the ceiling she had been staring at for an unknown amount of time, the figure sighed deeply.

People are indeed too sentimental.

Before the car accident, she was a qualified workhorse, working desperately every day for money.

Now, although she didn't know why she didn't need to work, she felt bored again.

She really wanted to leave this room.

Perhaps hearing the figure's thoughts, a full-length mirror appeared on the wall of the room, but because the person was lying on the bed, she didn't see the mirror.

It wasn't until the figure became so bored that she got up from the bed to move around that she discovered this mirror.

She rushed straight to the mirror, wanting to observe this new object in the room carefully.

Standing in front of the mirror, there was no reflection of her in it. The image in the mirror was another room, completely different from the one she was currently in.

She put her hand on the mirror with a hint of envy, wanting to touch the room on the other side.

But her hand went straight through, her hand... went directly into the mirror.

This situation immediately scared the figure, and she quickly pulled her hand back.

Then she carefully examined her hand, checking it several times, and only after confirming her hand was fine did she breathe a sigh of relief.

After sighing in relief, the figure looked at the mirror in front of her again; she seemed to be able to pass through this mirror and enter the room on the opposite side.

Taking a deep breath, the figure decided to walk into the room on the opposite side. If she died, she died. In a sense, she had already died once, so what was there to fear!

The figure walked directly towards the mirror, and when she reached it, she still closed her eyes and then plunged through.

After running a few steps forward, the figure reopened her eyes, looked at the room in front of her, and quickly ran to the window, wanting to see if the window here could look outside. The previous room didn't even have a window.

Leaning by the window, looking at the world outside, the figure breathed a sigh of relief, then turned her head to look in the direction she had just come from.

There was no mirror there, only a computer.

Upon seeing the computer, she felt that she could control this computer at will, as if the computer had become her own body.

Feeling this, she sat in front of the computer with some curiosity.

On the display screen of the computer, which was not turned off, various operations began to occur with her thoughts.

Through some information on the internet, she learned her current location... but this location... she wished she hadn't known.

Nagazora City, the place where the Third Honkai Impact occurred in the game. Although she didn't want to admit it, what she saw by the window just now... this should be Nagazora City, where the Third Honkai Impact had already happened.

The internet's explanation of Honkai only mentioned Honkai disease; Honkai had not been fully exposed to the world. Regarding searches for Schicksal and Anti-Entropy, these were two very large multinational corporations.

What about herself? What was she? Through the reflection of the display screen, she could clearly see that she was like a mannequin, completely empty.

She felt something in the air slowly drilling into her current body. Was this Honkai energy? Was she about to become a Death Soldier?

The figure thought somewhat pessimistically.

She didn't die in the car accident (perhaps), then she was locked up (though boring, not tiring), and now she had just escaped (not really escaped), and she was going to become a Death Soldier and die again (probably)?

She didn't want to die.

As more and more of the substance drilled into her body, the figure, who had already been considering how to die more comfortably, suddenly felt that her control over the computer in front of her became even easier.

And in her mind, a piece of information about her identity appeared.

But after going through this information, the figure instantly became happy again.

She was the Herrscher of Corruption, although not complete now (no core), at least she didn't have to worry about becoming a Death Soldier or a Honkai Beast!

In the game, as an antagonist, it eventually died with the collapse of Elysian Realm.

But as long as she didn't act as arrogant as that Corruption and cause trouble in Elysian Realm, she could probably... live for a long time.

After understanding her identity, the figure looked at her body again. Her current body could be said to be like clay, capable of being changed at will.

Thinking of Elysia's appearance, her original sketch-like body slowly changed color, finally settling into Elysia's likeness.

Looking at the reflection on the computer screen, the figure touched her face with some surprise and carefully examined her hands.

She was finally no longer a mannequin-like body.
