Chapter 14 - Alex no demon volume 4 chapter 14(The bonds of the past part 2)

On a bright morning in the Demon Country, the lord, Kazuma, sat in his office, hunched over a desk filled with documents. Yet unlike most days, a rare smile played across his lips.

"I can't believe it…" he muttered to himself. "My baby, Alex. He's going to be born this night. Eight months have already passed… and now, it's finally here."

The thought filled him with warmth and excitement. For once, paperwork didn't feel as heavy as it usually did.

Just then, the door creaked open and a soldier entered, bowing quickly.

"Lord Kazuma, someone has come to see you."

Kazuma blinked, confused. "Someone? …Alright, send them in."

The door opened again, Kazuma heard a familiar voice was heard greeting him.

"Hey, Kazuma-sensei! How've you been?"

Kazuma's eyes widened in surprise. "Diablo?!"

Standing in the doorway was Diablo(14 years old), one hand in his pocket, another one waving to Kazuma. Diablo had dark hair, red eyes and was wearing a black jacket with black jeans.

Kazuma seemed excited seeing his student.

"Wow, Diablo, it's been a while. It's been almost a year since I left the city. How are you?"

Diablo smirked. "I'm cool. The city is stabled too. Thanks for asking, Sensei."

Kazuma tilted his head curiously. "Then what brings you to the Demon Country? I wasn't expecting you at all."

"Well," Diablo replied, "I came to check on you. It's been a while since Veronica and I saw you, so we both came here. Besides, we had a mission nearby… figured we'd stop by."

Kazuma blinked. "Wait—Veronica's here too? Where is—"

Before he could finish, a loud, energetic voice cut through the room.

"Heeeey, Sensei!!! Long time no see! How've you beeeen?!"

Kazuma turned just in time to see Veronica burst into the office, grinning ear to ear. She was full of energy as usual.

Kazuma had a nervous smile on his face "As usual. Always so excited.", he thought to himself. Kazuma just chuckled with a soft smile "Hey Veronica. You seem to be doing well. I've also been doing pretty well too. Have you been keeping up with your combat training?"

"Of course!" Veronica said proudly "I've gotten really good lately—my skills have improved by far!"

Kazuma giggled lightly. "That's good to hear. Keep it up."

Diablo folded his arms, his tone calm. "By the way, Sensei… I heard your Mio sensei's pregnant. Congratulations."

Kazuma smiled warmly. "Yeah, thanks. And it's a boy."

Veronica's eyes sparkled. "A boy?! That's amazing! Really! I hope he grows strong like you, Sensei. That way, when I become the strongest female soldier alive, I can make my own group of solidiers. And when I do, I'll include him in it too!"

Diablo gave her a deadpan look. "…You're too hyperactive and full of yourself, you know that, right?".

Kazuma laughed, shaking his head. "You're still holding on to that dream, huh? Well, keep it up—you'll achieve it in no time. And when that day comes, I'll make sure my kid learns under you."

Diablo glanced at the time and sighed. "We have to head back now. Our mission was successful, and we need to report it."

As the two prepared to leave, Kazuma leaned closer to Diablo and whispered, "Hey, Diablo… when my kid is born, I want you to train him with everything you've got. Im counting on you, okay?"

Diablo gave a confident smirk, raising his thumb. "Sounds like an assignment. No problem Sensei."

Kazuma smiled faintly as he watched them leave. Leaning back in his chair, he sighed.

"I wish Ichiki were here too. He was one of my students… so much potential and skill. But… I'm glad Diablo and Veronica have moved on since his death. I hope things go well from here."

Later at night, cries of effort echoed within the lord's manor.

"Keep pushing, Lady Misaki!" the doctors urged.

Misaki, dressed in a flowing white gown, clutched the sheets tightly, her face dripping with sweat. Kazuma stood by her side, gripping her hand in worry.

After a long, tense struggle, the cries of a newborn filled the room.

"…It's a boy," the doctor announced.

Misaki was still breathing heavily before she proceeded to have a tired smile. "He's here… he's finally here! I can't believe it...", her vision blurred a bit before her smile widened "He's finally here. Alex!".

Kazuma's face softened with relief, his heart swelling as he hugged Misaki "Finally! After all this time, the baby's been born!" He stood up and grabbed Alex from the doctors hands. Kazuma had an excited smile on his face slowly breaking with tears "He's so small.". Misaki stood up and together held their newborn close.

"I hope this child has a wonderful future," Kazuma whispered. Misaki replied "Yeah, me too. Let's do our best to make him grow well and strong.".

But their peace was short-lived.

The door suddenly burst open, and a soldier stumbled in—his body covered in wounds.

"L-Lord Kazuma!" he cried, collapsing to the floor.

Kazuma and Misaki's eyes widened in shock, the doctors were also stunned too. Kazuma rushed over, helping him up. "What happened?!"

The soldier coughed blood. "Sir… the Demon Country… it's been attacked! About 12 of our cities have been wiped out in mere seconds."

Kazuma froze. "Attacked! Wiped out?! By who?!"

"I don't know… but… the man… he… he called himself… a god…"

Kazuma's eye's widened and then narrowed with a cold look in his purple eyes, fists clenched tightly. He said with a cold tone in his voice "A god huh?"

He turned to the doctors. "Treat him with everything you have!"

"Kazuma!" Misaki called out desperately. "Where are you going?!"

Kazuma grabbed his white cloak, throwing it over his shoulders. He activated his Spirit Mark—a spiral glowing on the back of his palm—while his hair radiated with purple light. His eyes turned cold and sharp towards Misaki.

"Stay here with Alex," he said firmly. "I'll be right back."

Meanwhile, chaos engulfed the Demon Country.

Buildings crumbled under waves of power energy. The skies glowed red. Floating above the devastation was a man with long, spiky white hair, crimson eyes, and a slim blood-red armor. His presence radiated unbearable amounts power.

"Hm, this country sure knows how to hold its own. But whatever, im not leaving till i get what I want." He said with a cold tone in his voice and with narrowed eyes that spoke of gentle anger.

Below, the Demon Army gathered in force. Soldiers activated their transformations, many reaching Stage Six of their demonic forms. Their commander shouted loudly, rallying them:

"If you can only unlock Stage One to Three, then get out of here! You'll die within seconds."

With a thunderous battle cry, the army charged forward, unleashing blasts of energy from every direction.

But Zodia just smirked and scoffed "Hm!".

"So much efforts, all for just small mere attacks. You are far too low to challenge me!"

Stretching out his hand, he roared with a psychotic smile on his face

"DO YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT A GOD OF MY CALIBER WITH SUCH LEVELS OF WEAKNESS!"

A massive beam of light blasted out of his palm, the beam was strong enough to overpower all the beams of energy thrown at him. The explosion engulfed everywhere, it annihilated hundreds of demon soliders in an instant.

When the smoke cleared, the battlefield was littered with fallen soldiers. Only a few survivors, including the commander, clung desperately to life.

The commander glared up at the floating man. "What the actual fuck?! He wiped an army of stage 5 and six demons with just one attack! WHO ARE YOU! TELL ME!!", the commander yelled with anger and rage.

The god like figure replied with a cold look in his glowing crimson eyes. "I am a god. Take that too your grave!"

Zodia prepared another devastating attack of energy and shot it at the fallen soliders. Just as the attack was about to hit, a giant spear of purple energy shot through the sky, striking away Zodia's beamd directly. A huge explosion of energy occurred and covered the entire sky. The soliders were shocked and confused "What just happened?".

As the explosion cleared away from the sky, Kazuma was seen in the air, his cloack was blowing with the wind, he had a look of anger and focus in his eyes. The soldiers gasped. "Lord Kazuma!!"

But as the smoke continued to clear off, Zodia was also seen on air, nothing had happened to him at all. Kazuma's attack didn't harm him.

Kazuma's eyes narrowed "Hey,soldiers. Retreat to safety. I'll handle this guy myself.". The commander got up despite his injuries "You heard to Lord! Get up and retreat.". All the demon soliders got up and started to retreat.

He fixed his gaze on the enemy. "Who are you?! And why are you here?!"

Zodia smirked

"So this is the source of power I sensed a few months ago. Indeed, this man is strong.", he thought to himself.

Zodia responded with a firm voice and responded to Kazuma.

"I am a god. The God of War and Chaos. I am… Zodia!!"
