[3rd POV]
Rose was having the time of her life. She had been living in the Salvatore boarding school for over two months now, and besides the beginning problem with Lizzie and her bullying, she had been enjoying every single moment of this place.
Every single moment of being with Hope.
Every moment she spent with her mate, she grew closer to her. More in love with the teen that had become so important to her. She felt almost...incomplete whenever she was not with Hope, and whenever she wasn't with her, she wished she was.
The two of them had been getting closer and closer every single day. The more they learned about one another, the more they began to fall in love. Hope had been feeling it too, it wasn't just Rose that was feeling these things.
Except with Hope, she was trying her best not to show it. Trying to not get her hopes up that Rose might like her back, even if it was so obvious that Rose was entirely in love with her. Hope just didn't want to set herself up for heartbreak or anything like that.
Too bad for her, Rose wasn't going to stop loving her, and she sure as hell was not going to break her heart or anything. Rose wasn't blind, and was clearly able to see that Hope was worried that she would deny her or something.
Beyond the relationship between Hope and Rose deepening, Rose had continued to help train Hope in new magics that couldn't be found in the world of The Vampire Diaries. Magics that Hope had begun to get really deep into learning.
Whether or not that was because it was Rose teaching her, Rose didn't know. All she knew is that Hope was adorable.
At the moment Rose was outside, eating her lunch with Hope sitting across from her.
"You know, I'm surprised" Hope said, watching her eat with a small smile on her face.
"Hmm? Surprised about what?" Rose asked, gulping down the bite of pizza she had just taken.
"That you know how to cook. And like...actually well too" Hope answered, glancing at the piece of pizza in front of her. Hope hadn't tried Rose's cooking before this, but she had to admit it was great.
"Oh yeah, my Mom taught me. She's sort of the God of Food and Cooking. I'm not anywhere near her in terms of skill, but I like to think I'm at least decent" Rose responded with a shrug, knowing that her mama made food that was far superior to this.
"Hey don't underestimate yourself, your food is incredible too! Way better than anything else I've eaten before. And I doubt your moms cooking is that much better than this. It's already so good" Hope said in response, as Rose just snorted in response.
"What was the snort for?" Hope asked, frowning.
"Oh nothing, it's just that my mom is literally the best at everything, Hope. That's kind of the point of the power she holds. It's impossible for me to ever be as good as her at literally...anything really" Rose responded with another shrug, not even hiding the fact that she knew her mother would always be better than her.
It was just an irrefutable fact.
"That is not a good way of thinking about it, Rose. Your moms literally the daughter of God and is his successor, the fact that you're even comparable to her at all is a huge compliment by itself" Hope said, knowing that Rose wasn't wrong.
That it was statistically impossible for Rose to ever even encroach upon the level of her mother.
"I guess, still doesn't change the fact that my mom is better at cooking than me" Rose responded, as she bit into her pizza again while Hope could only sigh. She knew that there wasn't really anything to say against it.
"Anyways, I heard that Caroline is coming back soon...finally" Rose said, deciding to change the subject as Hope nodded.
"Yep, guess she was supposed to get here like a couple of weeks ago or something. But because of the flights and weather, it got delayed like crazy. That and there were some vampire conflicts down where she was at or something? I've got no clue, only that she should be back within a day or two" Hope responded with a nod.
"Josie told you?"
"Yeah, she was talking about it earlier. I guess Lizzie was throwing a huge hissy fit since her mom got delayed. Weird considering Caroline didn't have any choice in the matter, it's not like she summoned the storm or something" Hope responded with a roll of her eyes at the thought of Lizzie's fit.
The girl might not be bullying people anymore, but her attitude was still awful, and she still regularly had huge fits and threw tantrums like a baby. But it no longer involved others like it used to.
"Huh, guess our parents will be coming back to town soon then. They still need to talk with her about some of the things that Alaric has been doing, and I doubt that will be a very fun conversation. As something tells me that Caroline didn't know about...ninety percent of what has been happening here" Rose said, knowing that since Caroline was coming, so too would her parents.
It was only natural.
"Yeah I doubt it. Because if she knew about the state of the classes, she'd be pissed" Hope replied with a nod, knowing that Caroline was not going to be happy with what Alaric had been doing at the school.
"Well...that'll be an...interesting sight" Rose responded simply, not really sure what to think about Caroline returning to the school.
She just hoped the argument wouldn't be too bad.

"So Caroline is returning back to the school? Took her long enough" Hayley said, as she sat at the bar with Klaus, Alice, and Lucifer. They were on a sort of double date, as the two had been recently fixing their relationship, which was going very well.
Something that Alice and Lucifer teased them about. As they could both see a little sibling for Hope coming in the future. It would certainly be a cute sight if it did happen.
"Guess this means we'll have to head down there doesn't it? After all, we need to inform her of all the horrid teaching methods that Alaric is using" Lucifer said, as the others nodded in agreement, all of them knowing that they needed to speak with her immediately.
"Do you think he'll get fired after it's all over with?" Alice asked.
"I doubt it. Caroline might grill the fool, but she will never fire the man. Not with the experience he has" Klaus responded with a shake of his head. Lucifer agreed, the likelihood of him getting fired was very very slim. It would take a lot worse than this to get him fired.
She wondered what would happen if she revealed that he trapped some previous students in an inescapable prison with Kai. She had a feeling that that would lead to a firing.
She wasn't going to reveal it though, not yet at least.
"Well either way, he's going to be regretting his decisions in these next few days" Hayley said with a small grin, sipping on her bourbon, excited to see what was going to be happening in the next couple of days.
All the while, Lucifer could only sip on her own glass, a small smile on her face, and one thought on her mind.
'These next few days will be...amusing~'
