Chapter 178 - Chapter 178: Before Heading to Westeros

[3rd POV]

With the decision to head to Westeros instead of continuing their journey throughout the remains of Essos, the two had decided to give Daenerys that piece of information. She needed to know before they went, so that she could be mentally prepared.

That, and they wanted to make sure she was okay with this. Because if she wasn't then they would just go home, and hopefully they'd be able to bring her with them.

As Daenerys finished her delicious breakfast, Alice and Lucifer glanced at one another. They both had understanding looks in their eyes, deciding that going ahead right now was for the best.

If they waited longer, it might make the girl trust them less, or be less willing to go with them to Westeros, and neither of them ever wanted that. They wanted her to be comfortable with them, for her to be willing and comfortable enough to come with them to their current home.

Comfortable enough to become their next daughter.

"Daenerys, can we speak with you for a moment?" Lucifer asked, as Daenerys blinked, wiping her cheek of the slight pieces of tasty food that was staining it. She had eaten the entire plate that was full of a large omelette, and had drunk the big glass of juice as well.

She had been starving, that much was clear.

"What is it you wanted to talk about?" Daenerys questioned, her voice sounding a lot more calm than before. Not nearly as uncomfortable around the two older women than she had been before. She was growing used to their presence, even if she was not entirely comfortable around them just yet.

It would take some time before she was truly at ease.

"We wanted to tell you that we plan on leaving Essos soon, and we wa-" "Wh-what? Wh-why did you wait so long to tell me!? Why would you bring me here if you're just going to leave? Is it to get my hopes up? Do you think just because I am a child. That I can be manipulated like this?" Daenerys cut her off, glaring as she yelled at Alice.

Alice flinched back slightly as the child yelled at them angrily, before Lucifer cut in.

"Child, let her finish speaking" Lucifer said, staring at her with a warm gleam in her eyes, no maliciousness or anything. She was looking at her with the same love she had before.

Daenerys heard her words before glancing back to Alice and grumbled, and began to listen again.

"As I was saying. We are thinking of heading to Westeros, to see the Wall, Kings Landing, Dragonstone, and all the other neat historical sites. And we were hoping that you would like to accompany us. Of course nobody will see or even notice you, Lucifer will make sure of that. And you will be absolutely safe while there with us" Alice said, as Daenerys looked at her with wide eyes.

Westeros was her birthplace, her home. It was the one place she had always wanted to visit, even when younger than she already was. She wanted to see the sights that she was only told of by her brother. She wanted to see the Wall, she wanted to see her families ancient seat of Dragonstone, she wanted to see the Iron Throne in which her brother had been fighting for.

She wanted to see the lands that had been torn asunder to kill her father. The lands that had rebelled against their family, killed her father, raped and murdered her sister in law, and had her niece and nephew murdered brutally.

She wanted to see it all.

But she had never seen it in person, never could. Had she stepped one foot upon that place, she would have been found by Robert Baratheon's men And then she would have been taken to Kings Landing, and all sorts of horrific things would have been done to her.

Things no child should ever have to go through. Especially not one that had not done anything wrong, and was instead being blamed for the sins of her father and brother. The two of them had started the entire mess.

While she didn't know the truth, Lucifer knew that Rhaegar Targaryen was the biggest force that had caused it. His foolish belief in prophecy, and his relationship with Lyanna Stark. That relationship itself was dumb, because he was already married and had children at the time, not only that, but it was entirely built off of a prophecy that he had.

A prophecy that had literally no meaning now that she was here. Prophecies meant nothing to her, and none of them could affect her and those she is close with. Nothing related to time and fate could warp and change the future of those she is close with.

Daenerys is one of those people now. Even if she doesn't decide to go with them to the new world, or go to Westeros.

"Y-You want to take me to Westeros? B-But why?" Daenerys asked, wide eyed as she stared at them.

"We already said before honey, we want to take care of you. We want to give you a family that you deserve. And we also want you to see the place you were born, even if it has changed over the years" Lucifer said with a small smile on her face, seeing the tears that were welling up in the eyes of Daenerys.

"...And if I come with you...does that mean I have to stay with you?" Daenerys asked, looking into the eyes of Lucifer.

"Of course not. If you don't want to stay with us after our visit to Westeros, we can bring you anywhere you want, and set you up nicely. You won't have to worry about Robert Baratheon and his ilk either way, you can trust me on that" Lucifer responded with a shake of her head, never willing to force her to do something like that.

She wouldn't force anything upon her.

She would only bring her with them if Daenerys herself was willing to go along with them. It had to be something she chose, not something that is forced upon her. As if it was forced upon her, it would make her less willing to become a member of their family.

And they would never want that.

"H-How would we get there?" Daenerys asked, confused.

"I have a lot of abilities, Daenerys. And amongst them are things like teleportation and traveling long distances in an instant with little to no difficulty. So traveling over the oceans to Westeros is effortless for me. Not only that, I can bring others with me without any difficulty" Lucifer explained, as the child looked at her in slight awe, not expecting her to have such a miraculous power.

A power that could let her effortlessly travel across the entire world in an instant like it was nothing.

It was almost like she was...a God.

Daenerys was half tempted to ask, but decided against it, as she doubted Lucifer would be willing to answer. At the same time, Lucifer gave her a small mysterious smile, knowing what she wanted to ask. She hoped she eventually did, as it would be amusing as hell to see the reaction that it brought out from the child.

But as she stared at Lucifer, Daenerys breathed in deeply before speaking.

"Okay...okay I'll go with you"
