After that conversation between Edward and Litty, the two ultimately reached the conclusion that there was nothing left to do except wait and hope they wouldn't have to intervene. This was, without a doubt, a situation that would become one of the biggest headaches Edward could ever have to deal with.
"Thank goodness Valencia is the only one here," Edward said while lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling. He continued, "Once we leave this place, the best thing to do is stay as far away from them as possible."
"That shouldn't be a problem given the current situation, but if anything happens, leave it to me," Litty declared, thumping her chest confidently before flashing a grin. Stretching her arms, she added, "I'd better head back. I'll need to be in perfect condition if I have to deal with this."
By the time she finished speaking, Edward was already asleep. Seeing that, she simply shook her head and returned to the ring.
The night passed without incident.
