Tian returned from the restroom a few minutes later, wearing a small, apologetic smile. He sat down beside the blond man, who was still waiting with his arms crossed.
"How many people have gone in?" Tian asked, glancing toward the closed door.
"Number eighteen," the man replied curtly.
Tian looked surprised. "Oh my, the line moved so quickly."
"Of course it did. At this point, everyone walks in and walks out within a minute." The blond man didn't even look at him. His earlier smile had disappeared completely, leaving behind an irritated expression.
Tian glanced at him uncertainly.
Is he upset because I spilled his drink? Maybe he thinks I was being rude. I should have been more careful…
