Tian simply sat there on the floor, staring at the open doorway behind him.
What had just happened?
His pet pig had somehow run into Hua Lang's company. Then, somehow, Tian had ended up participating in some kind of interview. He had fallen flat on his face, cried from embarrassment, and, for some completely incomprehensible reason, had been chosen.
Huh?
But chosen for what?
Tian's mind was completely blank.
He looked down at his hands, then toward the doorway where Hua Lang's assistant had disappeared.
How did all of this even happen?
Before he could make sense of anything, Bacon suddenly wriggled free from his loose arms and bolted through the doorway after Hua Lang's assistant.
"Wait—Bacon!"
Tian immediately jumped to his feet, ready to chase after his naughty little piglet. But before he could leave, a sharp, sneering voice stopped him.
"You bastard!"
Tian froze and slowly turned around.
