The leader of the cult did not seem bothered at all about Yuki killing everyone but him, which she found a little odd, considering that most other members seemed to mind death quite a bit. So it was not like some doctrine for the cult, where death was welcomed with open arms. Or maybe it was and everyone besides him just sucked at it.
"Maybe he just didn't get that he will die here too… I mean, I guess it'd make sense to assume that since he is still alive that I have no intention of killing him. Which of course is completely wrong. I wanna kill him so bad… But I need a bit more information about this cult before I officially finish my extermination. Only an idiot would kill an entire group of people without knowing what they are even about. If you kill everyone but one it's fine though."
There was silence for a while, since Yuki was contemplating what to ask him first, and he was just waiting for anything to happen.
"Ahem… Oh, mighty deity that stands before me, I humbly offer myself to you in hopes—"
"—What is this place?"
"An ancient place, long forgotten by most. Once served god, once served the devil, now you, oh so great Deity."
"…"
"The way he talks pisses me off… If I had to pick one word to describe it, I'd say repulsive and this entire place too… The way I see it, I have to destroy it. If I want to claim the church above, a place such as thus cannot exist with my blessing."
"Is something wrong, oh great Deity?"
"No, nothing at all! Everything here is just so impressive and wonderful! I'm so… Proud… Ahem… Of you… Anyway! Please tell me about what exactly it is you worship?"
"Huh…"
His entire tone and demeanor changed. A second ago he sounded excited and submissive towards her, but all of the sudden he turned distant.
"Why wouldn't you know that already… I can't think of a single reason if you were indeed summoned here by me…"
"What? Oh, that's because… When I'm summoned by force by someone, I lose my orientation for a bit, yes."
"Lies!"
"…Excuse you, I tell nothing but the truth!"
"You are not who I worship, you are nothing but an imposter!"
"Uh…"
"So he mistook me for someone specifically? Yeah, well fuck you too, I guess…"
"You won't get anything out of me, you pathetic deceitful woman!"
"Urgh… And here I thought I could do spy stuff after all… But no, you ruin it with some admittedly somewhat praiseworthy intuition. Well, there goes your usefulness."
As he was about to pull something out of his robe, Yuki appeared behind him already, not caring to see what he would have done, since nothing but a miracle could have saved him. And even that probably would have only delayed the inevitable.
Slice.
Her knife slit his throat from behind, which caused him to drop and lay on the ground the next moment. Though she had only mentioned how her spy act was ruined on the side, it was actually quite a big deal to her. Thus, despite already having inflicted a lethal wound on him, she did not stop.
Stab.
Blood spattered across her face, through the air and onto the ground, as the tip of the blade hit his back and pierced right through. Though she had many options to let her frustrations out, this was the most fitting.
Stab. Stab. Stab.
It was his fault, after all. Whoever he was, whoever he worshipped, whatever his goal was, he ruined it by existing. If this person had never been born, maybe this church would not have ended up as corrupt as it seemed to be now. Though she did not notice that much corruption yet, the existence of this cult was prove enough for her. It was also reasonable to assume that the cult was the core rot of this church, thus the sole cause of her mission. Which of course, was the reason she was not with Yamato right now.

At first, she did not think much of it. After all, she could deal with a day separate from Yamato, right? She had done so many times. However each time her mood would be at an all time low, beating the previous low each time. So having someone to blame for that hollow, aching feeling that filled her heart each time that happened made it ever so slightly more bearable.

After stabing him a total of 46 times, Yuki came back to her senses again, standing up and walking away from the now probably dead corpse like nothing happened.
"Thinking back on it, that may have been a little irrational and impulsive… Shame on me. Ooh, what's that!"
Her attention shifted to a shiny object in the middle of the altar which the cult had circled before she entered and interrupted whatever they did before. The shiny object was a small silver ball, which for some reason, repulsed Yuki from the bottom of her heart. She herself was unsure why that was, but she considered it being some sort of magic coming from the object. Naturally, she picked the shiny, repulsive, suspicious object up. As she did, spikes shot out of it and into her hand,to which she just made a surprised and slightly pained noise, though far from the scream one would usually let out upon having their hand pierced by multiple sharp spikes without warning. As blood spilled on the altar and on the ground, she pulled her hand off the spikes, after which the wound already closed up again. She dropped the ball, and as it hit the ground, the spikes disappeared and it became an ordinary repulsive ball again. Yuki then did the logical thing and burned the entire cave, until she was sure not a single life form was alive once she left, without the repulsive ball which she hoped to have been destroyed by the fire. However, even if not, whatever, she thought.
After the whole cave was flooded with flames and probably rendered inhabitable for decades, Yuki decided that her job was done down there. What she needed to to now was observe the situation and see how the church would do without this cult, and eliminate any members she comes across, since there was a possibility that not everyone was present while she did her thing.
However, what she needed to do even more than all that…
"Maaaster! I'm back!"
She yelled as she smashed the door open and jumped into the bed where Yamato should be at right now, since it was already way past midnight. Sure enough, she crashed into Yamato, who woke up just now from the door being kicked open. After a rough landing which seemed rather unpleasant for Yamato, Yuki clung to him without any explanation as it it were the most normal interaction. Yamato, who at first was genuinely at a loss of words, finally found some words to respond to her sudden attack.
"…Welcome back?"
"Mhm~ Thank you! I've been on an adventure!"
"Is that so…? I hope you had fun then."
"I'm not sure… I guess it wasn't all bad. But it was also horrible since it wasn't together with you!"
"That bad, huh? Well just tell me about the not bad stuff."
"As I was undercover, being all spy-ish and stuff, I made a friend. I think. At least I think she's alright, even though she's probably not all that useful to us…"
"That's great, Yuki. Sounds like you had a good time, even though I expected you to have more problems with it. I'm proud of you."
"I'm actually really glad… I was worried she was incapable of forming any genuine social bond with anyone besides me. If she made a friend, I'm happy for her. I think…"
"That's right! I've exceeded all expectations! Ah, but there is one tiny thing…"
"Have you made another friend?"
"Oh, uh… No. But something like that."
"Do tell."
"So there was this cult. Actually, first there were these bullies, that bullied my friend! Naturally, I paralyzed them and had Iky eat them in a broom closet! Then she invited me to have a sleep over, after she told me a bunch of stuff about the church while we took care of some flowers. "
"…What?"
"So when she fell asleep, I cast a sleep spell on her so I could sneak off and explore the church more! There was this Mateo guy too, or whatever, and I broke into his room and found a secret door that led down into a cave with a huuuge ruin thingy where I then killed like twenty people or something. Ooh, and there was a orb or something that stabbed my hand, so I threw it away and burned the entire structure. Then I came here to report about my day since I had spare time left before my friend wakes up and I have to go back!"
"…So, assuming you went to bed when it got dark, all that happened in a few hours?"
"Yes! Actually, I'm so tired… I just wanna stay here… But then I have to come up with an excuse for leaving while she was asleep…"
"…You mentioned a cult? So all the people you killed were part of that cult?"
"…Sure!"
Yamato could not help but let out a deep sigh. A moment ago, he was asleep, and now he was flooded with information about what had been happening while he left Yuki alone for one day. He was exhausted, to say the least. However, even though she was stressing him out right now, she was also calming him down in a way. It appeared, he too had missed her. He hugged her back and just went silent for a solid minute. Yuki of course could not mind less, and squeezed back as tightly as she could. With not a single worry in the world. Then Yamato remembered, he has something to tell her as well.
"Yuki, your… Accomplishments aside, I have some news too."
"I wanna here about your day as detailed as possible, Master. Tell me exactly where you were at any time starting from when I left, in five minute intervals!"
"That's ridiculous, that's gonna take hours… But anyway, I met the son of the baron again."
"Uhh… Who?"
"…The one at the bar the day we arrived?"
She just shrugged and cuddled up to him even tighter.
"Well, I kind of made a bet with him. We have somewhat of a duel tomorrow… Target shooting with a bow."
Yuki was on the verge of falling asleep.
"Mhm… Is that so? Good luck, Master… I'm sure you'll win… What did you bet about anyway…?"
"You, actually."
"…ME?!"
