Chapter 1 - Prologue

In the beginning, there was only the realm of the gods—those of Order and those of Chaos.

Though their natures differed, the two sides maintained a delicate balance across existence.

But balance is fragile.

The gods of Chaos grew restless, resentful of the restrictions imposed upon them by their counterparts. What began as resentment eventually erupted into war, pitting the gods of Order against the gods of Chaos.

Among the gods of Chaos stood one whose power surpassed all others: Amatsu-Mikaboshi.

As the war raged, Mikaboshi sought greater power to overcome his enemies. One by one, he consumed his own brethren, absorbing their essence and adding their strength to his own. With each fallen god, his power grew, until none of the gods of Chaos remained.

All that remained was Mikaboshi—a single being possessing the combined might of Chaos itself.

Faced with an enemy whose power threatened to overwhelm them, the gods of Order made a different choice.

Rather than allow themselves to be consumed, they entrusted their power to the strongest among them, a god named Noiro.

One by one, they willingly merged their souls with his, uniting their strength and placing their faith in him.

Thus, where Mikaboshi had taken power through destruction, Noiro received it through sacrifice and trust.

And so, the two gods met.

Their battle shook the very foundations of existence. With each clash, the surrounding void trembled, and from the immense energy released by their struggle, the universe began to take shape.

Worlds, and eventually life itself, emerged from the aftermath of their conflict.

Humanity was born into a world created by the struggle between Order and Chaos.

At last, their battle reached its conclusion.

In one final, cataclysmic clash, Amatsu-Mikaboshi was shattered, his essence breaking into countless fragments of Chaos that scattered throughout the newly formed world.

But victory had come at a cost.

Noiro looked upon the world their conflict had created. Humanity now existed in a world where the remnants of Chaos remained, capable of granting tremendous power to those who encountered them.

Though the creation of humanity had never been his intention, Noiro felt responsible for the lives born from their battle.

He could not simply abandon them to the consequences of a war they had played no part in.

And so, he sought to leave humanity with something that could guide it toward a better future.

Drawing upon his remaining divine power, Noiro created the stars that illuminated the night sky—countless lights scattered across the darkness, symbols of hope and guidance for the generations to come.

But symbols alone would not be enough.

Noiro released the souls of his fellow gods of Order from within himself, crystallizing their divine essence into physical vessels known as Star Badges.

Each Badge housed a living god of Order, retaining its own consciousness, personality, and will.

Those chosen to bear them would form symbiotic bonds with the gods within, gaining extraordinary abilities through their partnership.

Together, human and god would wield the power of Order—not merely to oppose Chaos, but to protect and guide the civilization humanity would one day build.

From these first partnerships arose the Keepers of Order, whose purpose was to safeguard humanity and preserve the balance of the world.

Over countless generations, their organization grew, eventually becoming the foundation of the institution known as Five Points.

And with his final act complete, Noiro vanished.

His fate remains unknown.

The Present Age

Countless generations have passed since the war of the gods.

Civilization has flourished beneath the authority of the Council, the governing body responsible for establishing the laws and maintaining the political order of the known world.

Those laws are upheld by Five Points, an organization descended from the original Keepers of Order.

Divided into five Cores, its officers serve as the world's principal guardians of law and order, wielding the supernatural powers granted by their Star Badges to protect civilization and enforce the Council's will.

Yet the legacy of the ancient war has never truly disappeared.

The fragments of Amatsu-Mikaboshi remain scattered throughout the world. Known as Chaos Shards, they grant extraordinary power to those who claim them, but their influence can gradually consume even the strongest of wills.

Those who wield such power are branded Outlaws, regardless of their intentions.

And not every outlaw possesses a Shard, just as not every officer who serves the law is righteous.

For generations, the world has been divided between those who uphold its laws and those who live beyond them.

But the line separating justice from oppression, and freedom from destruction, is not always as clear as either side would believe.

And so, the struggle born from the gods continues in the world of humanity.

The conflict between Five Points and the Outlaws.
