The world vibrated with that sharp cry, then it became water.
When the world calmed down, when the ground stopped trembling, the one responsible for the ambush was finished, crushed and thoroughly dead. Hannah was still on her feet, but more on one foot than on the other. One of her arms was almost limp, and her blood was dripping on the soil, rolling down from the many wounds on her body. And it was not over yet.
The brown eyes that had been calm till then shone with a fierce light, and Hannah took off with a powerful leap adding even more propulsion to the beginning of her flight, and she took off backward, going after the two she had sent flying with her water the weight of mountain ranges.
The ferocity that had been lying flat underneath calm and rationality came into being in the form of a fierce glare. Hannah waved her one good arm as she turned around, sending a giant drop of water to open the way for her.
