Chapter 61 - Chapter Sixty-One

A week later I was sitting at my desk doing homework. Or trying to. I had a tight grip on my blanket and wasn't focusing on the work in front of me. Raiven and Aiden were both out which freaked me out.

Suddenly the door slammed open making me jump. I yelp as I look to see who it was. I sighed deeply when I saw my best friend. "Can't you come in like a normal person?" I asked him as I clutched at my chest.

Charly looked at me with a blank expression. "What fun would that be?" He said as he approached me. He took me by my upper arm and pulled me up. "Now let's go." He started pulling me out the door.

I tried to dig my heels into the floor and pull my arm out of his grip. "Where are you taking me? I have to stay here."

He looked back at me for a second before he stopped and then leaned over and flew me over his shoulder. "Don't worry about it." He then left the room.

I punched his back and kicked. Doing anything I can think of to get down. I started yelling. "Are you insane? Put me down." I looked around. Everyone was watching us and whispering. "Do you want people to think you're abducting me? They know I'm mated so this will look very bad."

Charly spanked me. "Stay still or I'll drop you. They know who I am. Besides, I have to get you somewhere fast. I couldn't wait until you decided to come on your own."

I stopped struggling and just hung there. "Take me somewhere? Where?"

Charly chuckled. "You will find out when we get there."

I sighed. "Ok. I'll go with you, now can you put me down? This is very uncomfortable. Plus your shoulder is pressed into my belly."

Charly stopped and then put me down. "I'm sorry. I didn't know. Is the baby ok?"

I rubbed my belly. "Yeah. Just be careful next time." I glance up at him. He was frowning and looking at my belly. "Hey. It's ok. Now let's go. I don't have all day to stand around."

Charly jerked his eyes back up to my face. "Right." He took a deep breath and then started walking again.

I followed him until we left the campus. "Hey Charly?" I stopped and catched my breath.

He stopped and looked back at me. "Yeah?"

I was panting. I slowly raised my head to look at him. "How much farther? I can't walk very far anymore."

He looked the way we were going and then squatted down with his back to me. "Get on. We have a little bit more to go."

"Ok." I climbed on and laid my head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry Charly. The baby takes a lot out of me." He stood up and started walking again. "It's ok. It's what I should do."

I laughed when I got what he meant. He was right. He was my brother-in-law and my best friend. He should do all he could to help me out. I closed my eyes and slowly started to doze off.

"We're here." Charly said, making me jerk awake. I lifted my head and looked around. We were in a park but there was no one around. A couple of tents were set up. There was a lot of cloth covering stuff.

Charly took me to one of the tents. He set me down on my feet once we were inside. I looked around. There were a couple of armchairs and tables. A full length mirror was in a corner. A garment bag was laying in a chair.

"Umm. Charly? What's going on?" I look back at him to find him sitting in a chair.

He smirked as he stood up. "You will find out soon enough." He picked up the garment bag and handed it to me. "Now. Get changed." He then left as soon as I took it.

I was so confused. What was going on? I was supposed to be in our room doing homework. Or trying to. Why was I here? I sighed and placed the bag on the table and slowly unzipped it.

White lace and silk slowly came into my view. Once I had the bag open I could clearly see the outfit. My jaw dropped. It wasn't a dress but it was still feminine. I slowly slipped it on. Not wanting to rip it.

I stood in front of the mirror once I had it on. It was a high waisted pants that was so form fitting that it hugged my belly just right. It was neither tight nor loose. The shirt was lace. It had two layers. A silk underside with the lace on top. To top it off there was a silk jacket. Everything was pure white. No extra color.

I smooth down everything and smiled. It was the right amount of feminine. As I was admiring the outfit my twin sister Kiela walked in. She smiled once she saw me.

"You look very beautiful Killian." She walked up behind me and looked over my shoulder at my reflection in the mirror.

I leaned back into her chest. "Thanks sis. I still don't know what's going on."

She laughed. "You will find out soon. Now come. Let me do your hair and make up." She guided me to a chair and made me sit down.

She started tucking pieces here and there. Inserting a few flower pins. Then she picked up make-up. "Close your eyes." I closed my eyes and let her do her thing. A lot of rubbing and blending later she took a step back. "There. You can look in the mirror now."

I stood up and walked over to the mirror. I gasped. I didn't recognize myself. I normally let my hair be. Letting it do its thing. Now it's pinned up in swirls and the flower pins looked like they were dripping down.

I hardly ever did my make up. I normally would do some eye liner, mascara and nude lipstick. Kiela had done a nude smokey eye. It made my eyes pop out more than ever. My lips were done in a light red.

My mouth hung open. I still couldn't believe what I was seeing. Was that really me? Kiela chuckled behind me. She walked up behind me and placed her hands on my shoulders.

"Yes. Killian. It's really you." I watched her in the mirror. She had a relaxed expression. One I haven't seen in years.

"Kiela." I said in a whisper. I felt like there was something in the air that would break if I spoke louder.

A tear slipped out of her eye. "It's ok. I'm just happy." She said as she wiped the tear away.

Just as I was about to say something Amiri walked in. I groaned. "What is it? Is it family day today?"

They both laughed. "Do you not want to see me?" Amiri asked as she tried to look hurt.

I laughed. "Why would I not want to see you?"

Amiri tapped her chin as she looked up. "Oh I don't know. Maybe because of all the lectures I gave you growing up."

I gasped and grabbed my chest. "Ouch. That hurt. You think I'm that type of guy?" I slowly lost my strength and fell into Kiela's arms. "I'm dying now." I say as I look up at Kiela.

Kiela wrapped her arms around me as she supported my weight and laughed. She patted my arms. "I think you'll be ok. If not, your mates will hunt us down."

I laughed as I slowly stood back up. "You got that right." I looked over at Amiri. She had a scared expression. Guess that got her.

She slowly removed the scared look and looked at me. She gently smiled. "You're beautiful Killian." She walked over to us and took my hand. She slowly twirled me around. "Truly gorgeous."

I smiled. As I sunk into a chair and put a hand on my belly. "Thanks. I'm still getting used to seeing myself like this."

Amiri nodded. "I bet. Now rest for a bit. It's almost time to go out there."

I looked at her confused. "What's going on? No one has told me anything."

"You will find out soon." I groaned as she said the same thing as everyone else.
