Yousheng was sturdier than other children. Over a month old, the little guy might not be much bigger than kids of the same age, but he was much stronger and could even lift himself up in Ming Mei's arms to grab the lantern.

When he was happy, he'd wriggle around in Ming Mei's arms, almost causing her to drop him.

Ming Mei put on a stern face and lectured Yousheng, "Stop moving around so much. Do you know how strong your little feet are? You almost kicked your mom in the chest!"

Yousheng blinked his eyes. He already knew when Ming Mei was angry and when she was happy. Seeing her displeased expression, he quickly settled down.

Ming Mei rubbed the spot on her chest where the little guy had kicked her and said, "If your dad comes back, I'll let him hold you, and you can kick him as much as you want."

But... your dad just won't come back.

Ming Mei sighed and looked at the round moon in the sky.

The old man called out to Ming Mei, "Ming Mei, dinnertime is over."
