Mark Reed's face involuntarily buried into Valentine Teller's hair, greedily inhaling, never feeling like it was enough.

His breath blew gently across her neck.

Valentine anxiously wanted to push Mark away, but he was so domineering, holding her tightly. Apart from her mouth, her limbs and body were all restrained by him.

"Didn't you say you weren't interested in me?"

Recalling what he said on the phone in the morning, she knew he was lying. He was interested in her; otherwise, he wouldn't keep coming back to find her.

She didn't know how long his interest would last, nor how intense it was; she only knew one thing, regardless of how much he tried to tease her, she couldn't allow herself to be moved. Even though she had a good impression of him, she constantly reminded herself that he wasn't someone she could dare to hope for.

She still clearly remembered how he treated that woman at the Century Royal Court that day.
