Wyatt's mother placed the baby in the crib Claudia used when she was little. Turning around, she saw Ursula peeking at the door of her room.
"Is there something you need?" Wyatt's mother asked.
"I came to see the baby." Without waiting for Wyatt's mother to invite her in, Ursula walked in herself, moving toward the crib.
"Is this Tabby's child?" Ursula asked the question she was most concerned about.
After a moment's thought, Wyatt's mother responded, "Yes, it is."
"Ah..." Ursula sighed. "Tabby has had a tough time over the years."
"He really hasn't had it easy."
To silently love someone for so many years — besides Tabby Teller, how many people can do that?
Wyatt's mother gently caressed the baby's face, speaking sincerely, "Actually, I envy you. Tabby has loved you for decades. I've known him for only a year. I was not part of his past, but you are the indelible love in his heart, the woman he loves the most."
Wyatt's mother's words made Ursula feel very good inside.
