Outside the door, Jayden Maguire heard Nana Monty jump off the ground. His heart tightened, and he swiftly hid in the nearby guest room.
Hidden in the pitch-dark guest room, Jayden Maguire listened intently for any sounds outside.
Nana Monty didn't even bother to put on her shoes, running barefoot across the wooden floor.

She ran downstairs, the garden door was open, but there was no sign of Jayden Maguire.
He must have been here.
Nana Monty ran out to the street, looking around, "Maguire..."
She couldn't let go of him after all.
