"Wait a minute, I'll be right down."
Nana Monty pouted and had no choice but to follow Jayden Maguire out of the car.
As soon as her foot hit the ground, Nana Monty slapped the back of Jayden Maguire's hand: "Let go quickly, or I'll scream harassment!"
"Ha, who says getting divorced means we have to be enemies? We can be friends, right?" Jayden Maguire gave a helpless, bitter smile. "Don't be so childish, okay?"
"I'm childish?"
Nana Monty was fuming with anger.
She thought he was childish, absurdly so.
It felt like she was his toy, something to play with whenever he felt like it, and toss aside when he didn't, ignored until he suddenly came looking for her again, maybe remembering she existed.
Truly, Nina wasn't satisfying him, so he came to her to fulfill his physical needs.
"Don't you think you're being childish?"
Jayden Maguire looked down at the small hand he was clutching, so soft and delicate like a child's; holding it in his palm, he didn't want to let go.
