( The Police Station)
" What do you fucking mean that you can't release my son until that bitch arrives and testify that he is innocent?" Kelvin's mum angrily asked
" That's what the law says Ma'am; from the CCTV camera footage, it shows that your son went into the Crime scene fifteen minutes after his girlfriend had left and they spent like ten minutes before coming out, that's a whole lot of time to hide the victims body at the back of the bathroom door and to wash out the blood on the floor with water. The victim happens to be seated beside his girlfriend and also the victim turns out to be his brothers ex-girlfriend, he might have stalked her and that would have pissed Your son off" The police man said
" How dare you fucking call my son a murderer?" Kelvin's mum asked almost crying
" He has 24 hours to testify and give us what we want or else he will be thrown into prison, even if you get a lawyer; he can't get away without a solid evidence that he didn't have a hand at the murder of Mr. Joe" the police told her
" I want to see my son" she said
" You have ten minutes to do so" the police told her
When Kelvin's mum entered the interrogation room, tears dropped from her eye at the sight of his son sitting there looking confused. It reminded her of herself when the police would wrongfully accuse and arrest her because of the drugs her late husband would keep home, she wished she could erase that part of memory from her brain.
" Mum" Kelvin called when he saw his mum enter
" I am sorry Kelvin, I couldn't do anything" She sobbed
" It's okay mum, I will get out. I know Mary and I have been wrongfully accused" he said
" What? Mary the girl who murdered someone and let you take the blame?" She asked him
" Mary is probably hiding because she is scared, I would be too if the police shows up looking for me. She isn't a murderer. How can all of you believe she actually killed that Man all by herself?" He asked her
" What has she done to you?" His mum asked in shock because she wasn't sure that it was Kelvin speaking " I used to think the same way when I was with your father, I didn't believe anything people said..."
" Mary isn't like father mum and she will never be" Kelvin angrily said with her legs shaking unintentionally on the ground" Mary had never hurt me for once, she was there for me every single time and she cared for everybody in her own way, we promised to go to south Africa together " Kelvin said as he burst out crying
His mother was shorts of word as she didn't know whether to get angry at him or console him. She bent Kelvin to her shoulder and pat him slightly with care.
" Your time is up madam" came the police voice interrupting them
" I will get you out of here, I promise" Kelvin's mum said
