Lex had a feeling that everything Evelyn was telling him would be useful in the Lost Ruins Of Jordi. After all, if The Obsidian Council really targeted him and Elise there, then he didn't want to be in a pincer attack of Magical Beasts and The Obsidian Council.
Especially in an environment he had no clues about.
Evelyn thought and continued her explanation, "That's why you need to be careful around them. They're far more dangerous than the Magical Beasts, simply because they don't feel pain and have intelligence above the Magical Beasts."
"Wait! I thought they were mindless," Lex said, slightly surprised.
"That's what everyone believes, but not me. I have observed them closely, and I know for a fact they're not entirely mindless," Evelyn smiled. "Still, you can dismiss it as just one of my theories if you want."
Lex nodded but still kept this information in his mind. Because if it really was as Evelyn said, then the Mares were far more dangerous than he was expecting them to be.
