"Wait! And no one could even write a letter or even tell me immediately I got here and you're just telling me now?" Ryan complained.
"Ryan I'm sorry, I just wanted you two to have your moment." She apologized.
"I have to go and find her...she couldn't have gone to far." Ryan said and dashed out of the garden leaving the queen with a worried expression.

"Iris, you need to head back to the palace, it's getting late." Madam Selane said once the midwife left.
"I don't think I can go back." She said as she sat on the chair.
"What do you mean? You have to go home and so do I, it's closing hours already." Madam Selane explained.
"I understand but I just don't have the courage to face him."
"You mean Prince Ryan? He's your husband for goodness sake, why would he not be happy about the news of your pregnancy?" She asked.
"I know you're hiding something from me, the way you got married to the prince immediately after that night and... it's not a love match but you two have to take responsibility for this child." She explained.
"I'll leave soon, I just need to clear my head I'll leave after that.. I-"
"Crown Prince and Lord Tayler." Madam Selane said as Iris suddenly looked up and stood up swiftly.
"Your Majesty!" They both greeted.
"Can I speak with my wife... privately?" He asked as Madam Selane nodded and left with Tayler.
"Asha told me you might be here." He said as he walked up to her as Iris took a step back, avoiding his gaze.
"You weren't there when I came back,why did you leave?" He asked, staring at her as he held her chin, making her look at him.
"I wanted some time out of the palace." She replied and immediately brought her head down.
"I know about what happened...mum told me." He said as he let go of her.
"That you're pregnant." He said.
"I'm sorry!" Iris replied with clenched fists.
"I'll still fulfill my promise and leave as expected and I'll make sure my child would not be a burden to you." Iris said coldly as Ryan frowned.
"What are you saying? I don't want you or my child to leave...I want to be there for the both of you." He said as he tried to hold Iris's hand as she suddenly stopped him.
"Crown Prince, don't you think it's time we end this contractual marriage and just move on." Iris stated as Ryan looked at her coldly.
"I'm sure you also have somebody that you would like to marry so please let us just end it, why are you even ruining your life for me..." Iris asked in anger.
"It's because you're my wife and it's my duty to protect you." Ryan replied as he held both her hands.
"Come with me and let's go home, everyone is waiting." He said softly.
"That's not my home." Iris said as she let go of his hand.
