"Are you really sure there's nothing bad going on between you two? You can just tell me and I might help but if you don't then who will help you know it's only us that's your family?" Madam Selane stated worried.
"Everything is fine." Iris said as she wrinkled her face.
"My lady are you fine? You look pale." Amber said as she rushed to help her up.
"My stomach, it hurts!" She frowned as bits of sweat started to form on her forehead.
"Iris, why didn't you tell anyone?" Madam Selane said worried and frightened at the same time.
"I'll go and get the midwife." She said and left.
"Promise me not to tell Ryan about it." Iris said as the pain became unbearable.
"But-"
"Please it's the only thing I'm asking of for now, I know how much this child means for them." Iris said crying.
"I shouldn't have left if I knew I was going to lose my child." She said still crying as Amber tried to calm her down.
"It's going to be fine just take deep breaths and calm down, I'm sure the midwife is on her way and maybe the prince too."
"I don't think I can hold on much longer." Iris said as she clenched her teeth.
"It's worse than anything that happened." She stated as Iris patted her back slowly.
"You're only getting to the third month, I don't understand what's happening?" Amber said trying not to sound worried but Iris noticed.
She was about to speak again when the midwife and madam Selane rushed in.
"Your Highness!" The midwife bowed before her as Iris nodded, as the pain became unbearable.
"You look pale." The midwife said as she dropped down her bag and started checking Iris. She gave madam Selane some herbs and told her what she had to do.
"Your Highness have you eaten?" The midwife asked as Iris shook her head.
"Well pains like this is very common in some pregnant women but your's is quite different." She stated as Iris and Amber stared at each other confused.
"You have a weak body even before you got pregnant but now that you're carrying not just one but two, I'll be difficult if you neglect your health." She said worried as Iris immediately straightened her back despite the pain.
"I'm pregnant with two children." She said as her eyes watered, looking down at her belly.
"But again, you have to take proper care of yourself and the babies because any slight mistake and you or the babies might be in danger." She warned as Iris nodded her head, smiling sheepishly.
"Urm... don't tell anyone what happened here today especially the royal palace." Iris pleaded looking at the old lady before her as she nodded.
"I understand, my lips are sealed." She replied with all smiles.
"Amber please lead her out!" She said as Amber nodded and left with the midwife.
"Why don't you want to tell anyone about what happened?" Madam Selane asked as she placed the tonic on the table.
