It has now been just a little over a year since Eldorin was first formed. The kingdom has spread its lands twice as big compared to when it first was established. Aside from Leif, a few other lords were appointed by the young king Regulus. Leif rules over the Milling town of Warthon as its Count. Duke Wilhelm Reinhardt, Alicia's father, was entrusted with a town called Ether. Cregan Lornel was now Baron, as he now rules over the small fishing village of Riverwell.
As Eldorin's reputation has grows, traders have now frequented the kingdom coming in and out, with the "Eldorian Potion" the doctor has made is now being mass produced and is the kingdom's main export, as it is much cheaper than the average healing potion and has almost identical effects.
Aside from the trading, Eldorin will be hosting it's own "Spring Festival". With it being celebrated during the 14th day of the 2nd month of the year. Regulus has called it the "Festival of soulmate's and Lovers".
Speaking of lovers, Regulus was currently being pressured by both Eadic and Lucius to formally look for a spouse.
"You're turning twenty-one this upcoming 8th month of the year your majesty. Sooner or later you'll need an heir!" Eadic exclaimed as Regulus ignored them as he was reading a letter from one of his subjects.
"Sir Eadic is right, your majesty, you're old enough to have a wife now. Plus, you need an heir, be it a child or your spouse."
"See, even Lucius agrees with me! You know how ridiculous you'll look when you, the king, joins in on the spring festival he himself created, without you yourself having even a partner!" Eadic exclaimed once more while massaging his temples.
"Ugh, fine! I'll listen to your recommendations!" Regulus spoke, finally listening to the two middle aged men. "Who would you recommend? As a partner alright Since I don't want to be betrothed to someone I barely know."
The two middle aged men stared at each other for a few seconds before eventually coming to a conclusion.
"How about Princess Olivia?" Lucius suggested, immediately getting the 'WHAT?' face from Sir Eadic.
"OLIVIA!? OLIVIA MCFORLAND!? ARE YOU INSANE!!?" Eadic retorted.
"What?" Lucius asked.
"You want the daughter of one of the largest kingdoms in the continent to be his partner!?" Eadic wondered, his fingers pointing at the young king who was currently bamboozled.
"Why not? I mean, if they have some sort of 'love at first sight' experience and eventually get married, wouldn't it be vastly beneficial to the kingdom?" Lucius replied. "Why? Did you have a better suggestion?"
"I had Alicia in mind. I mean, from what I've heard…" Eadic said as he whispered to Lucius. "Alicia supposedly has a crush on our young king."
The old knight said with a smug face. Regulus meanwhile was confused about what was happening. After a few minutes of Lucius and Eadic whispering at each other, they eventually spoke up.
Lucius spoke up first. "Alright, we have a plan! We'll be sending out letters to women all over the continent! So that you'll have numerous options to choose from!"
"That'll include Princess Olivia of Loren, Baroness Alicia and many more!" Eadic exclaimed.
"But won't that take a lot of t-"
"We'll take care of the letters! What you have to do now is learn the proper demeanor and how to act like a true man! "Lucius beamed as he took Regulus away, leaving Eadic alone to write all the letters.
TWO WEEKS LATER
It was now the day before the spring festival, Lucius, Eadic and Regulus were currently waiting for Regulus' outfit.
"How much is this going to cost? I mean we could've had a local tailor make the outfit you know…" Regulus asked as he was quite worried about the cost. "After all, the renovation of the castle took a lot out of the treasury."
"About 5 gold." Eadic said flatly.
"5…. Gold?" The young king gasped as he stood up. But sat down immediately as the tailor finally showed up.
"Ah, my apologies for waiting for your majesty. I greatly thank you for waiting, here it is." The man said as he handed Regulus a white box. "Why don't you try it? See if it satisfies your tastes."
The king thanked the tailor as he looked back at Lucius and Eadic, making out the words "It better look good" as he went inside the changing rooms.
As the young king exited the changing room with his new attire, everybody's jaws dropped.
"So? What do you think? I think it's a little too much but for 5 gold this is definitely worth it..?"
"Wow…. YOU LOOK STUNNING!" The two middle aged men yelled simultaneously.
"With this every woman in the continent will be chasing after you!" Lucius said as he and Eadic started crying tears of joy.
A DAY LATER
It was now the day of the spring festival. Numerous guests were now arriving into the newly renovated castle palace.
The first to arrive were the local lords, which included the twins, who were currently talking to Rosaria, though Solaire was mostly talking as Aqua was mostly just there experiencing second hand embarrassment. Rosaria was simply listening to Solaire despite being uninterested the whole time, but didn't want to seem disrespectful.
Then came the main guests of the king. First was Alicia Reinhardt, daughter of Wilhelm Reinhardt, Baron of Ether. She wore a stunning Black dress with green accents, with her hair still cut short, just above her shoulders.
Next came princess Olivia McForland, daughter of the king of Loren, king André McForland. She arrived wearing an elegant dark blue dress, complimenting her silky brown hair. Her hazel eyes staring through the crowd as she sat next to Alicia.
Finally as the main guests arrived, it was time for the king to enter. When the doors opened, everyone's eyes were glued to the young king.
He looked completely different from his usual self. He wore a black suit with a red long sleeve underneath it. A white cape hung on his shoulders, finally there were silver embellishments scattered around his attire. And his hair was tied in a man bun with his bangs dangling just over his eyebrows.
His walk was elegant, truly fit for a king. He stopped in the middle, sitting on the main table which consisted of the top nobles of the continent. Princess Olivia, Baroness Alicia, King Lachlan, Lucius and Sir Eadic were among the people seated.
Soon he stood up, walked to the edge of the table and spoke.
"Thank you everyone! All the guests, I sincerely appreciate you all for coming to the inauguration of Eldorin's spring festival! Now, without any more interruptions, let us commence the spring festival!" The young king exclaimed as everyone cheered, marking the start of the spring festival.
