Once Karl and his opponents had caught their breath, they left the stage arm in arm, headed for the triage tent.
"Protocol, you see. Not everyone has the regeneration rate of a troll on amphetamines, some of us actually get injured and stay that way. Especially when someone starts throwing around the Fundamental Rule of Chaos like it's no big deal."
"Every rule has its upsides and downsides. I know a girl who mastered the rule of Chaos and still had her face disfigured by an Order Element beast." Karl shrugged.
"With a perfected rule of Chaos?" The Immortal asked, confused as to what could have happened.
"She tried to taste test a Demigod. While it was still alive."
The Immortal choked, and then stumbled over his feet, only narrowly escaping embarrassment.
"She did what now? I mean, to know your Rule, you must live your Rule. But that's a bit too chaotic."
