Adeline couldn't stop herself from sobbing, unsure why her emotions were everywhere.
"You really don't think I love you so much even though I do. It's not fair. How could you not believe me? I-I know I have hurt you before, but…" She sobbed harder. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"
Caesar quickly grabbed her, pulling her into a deep hug, her face buried in his shoulder. He caressed her hair, inhaling her scent with his eyes shut.
"Fuck, I love you so much it's overwhelming." He shifted, kissing the spot under her eye. "Don't cry, sweet doll. I know you love me. I don't doubt that at all, and that only means I want to make you happy in every way. I don't ever want to hurt you at all, and that's why I am like this. So, don't cry. I just love you too much."
His chuckle vibrated and she stared at him with watery eyes, proceeding to laugh along with him.
"I love you."
"And I love you more." His fingers curled into her hair and he leaned in, pressing his lips to hers.
