Ren came to a realisation that the vampire count could use a soul in order to avoid death.The vampire count simply had to be killed a finite number of times in order to be killed.The only question was how large was the vampire counts stockpile of souls.
Ren was interrupted from his thoughts when the vampire began casting a spell.Ren jumped back by 12 metres as a crimson explosion of blood spikes and blood blade arcs erupted from Andreus body.
The explosion appeared to be unable to damage the pipes,throne or wall.It was oddly durable.
The vampire count was already casting another spell but Ren was too quick.The vampire count was simply even weaker then the gargoyles were.Ren stabbed the vampire in the heart again.
As the vampire count regenerated the surrounding pipes injected some more blood and flesh into its body.Its sordid appearance became a bit healthier once again and its speed appeared to increase by a bit.
Ren interrupted the quickened spell casting by stabbing the vampire in the heart again.Andreus regenerated once again and it created a near endless cycle of stabbing and regenerating for about 12 full seconds.This time period appeared to be short for regular people but for Ren it lasted quite long due to his speed and perception.
Twice had the pipes injected more blood and flesh into Andreus and it appeared to increase his power by a large margin.
Andreus got off his chair with a newfound confidence.His appearance appeared to be that of a slender yet healthier man.His suit was fully fixed and his hair had no bald spots in it.His eyes were a deeper crimson red.
His black business suit proceeded to morph into dark vampiric armour with crimson runes adorning it in its entirety.A black greatsword appeared in Andreus hands as he entered a stance.
He then threw his blade which spun in the air,homing in towards Rens location.Ren parried the blade with his thorn dagger but the great sword would simply spin back towards Rens location.
As Ren was parrying the blade he realised his thorn dagger was being chipped on contact with the great sword.It was apparent that the great sword was a superior quality weapon to Rens thorn dagger.
"Is it a soul weapon or a spell?" Ren wondered as he had seen the vampire summon it from nowhere.However it could also be a spell as Ren could sense that Andreus mana capacity was superior to his.
"ARCHIE LOOK OUT" Ruth yelled in the background and it was only then that Ren noticed that Andreus had disappeared from his current position.Ren then felt a powerful fist attack his right side.It was Andreus' gauntlet which caused Ren to skid 6 metres to the side.
"It seems you tightened your muscles before you got hit in order to soften the blow.It appears you humans have adapted to the times." Andreus smirked as he saw the small bruise on Rens right side.
Andreus now had better base physical abilities then the dryad.That wasn't what Ren was worried about though.What Ren was worried about was how Andreus appeared to have disappeared.
Ren stopped thinking once he saw that Andreus' skin had turned crimson red and his veins and arteries appeared to protrude from his skin.Andreus was then a blind as he moved towards Ren.
Ren moved his thorn dagger in order to intercept the coming strike.He succeeded but the speed and force of the strike almost knocked Rens hand away.If it wasn't for the fact that the thorn dagger was connected to his hand then the thorn dagger would've been knocked out of his hand.
Ren reinforced his body with mana and cast some physical buff spells on himself.Andreus did the same but he didn't cast some buffs on himself.They then clashed.
The two were a storm of slashes and stabs as well as parties and guards but Andreus was the superior headon duelist.He wisely used the lengh of his weapon to keep Ren at a distance whilst also attacking him.Ren soon found himself with small cuts all over his body.
Ren jumped back to gather his breath which Andreus let him do since he felt confident in winning the battle.Ren observed that his cuts appeared to continue bleeding with no sign of stopping.A worried expression took over Rens face.
"Aaahh it seems you've noticed.My soul weapon is known as the vampire counts greatsword.One of its abilities is a passive ability that causes every injury it inflicts to continue bleeding profusely."
Ren noticed the sorry state he was in.His body was covered in cuts that would continue bleeding and his thorn dagger was chipped all over despite the fact that he was reinforcing it with plant element mana.It would no doubt break soon.
Ren cast a healing spell which closed all of his cuts and also appeared to heal his thorn dagger which Ren guessed made some sense since it was a plant.
