Chapter 98 - Chapter 84 - Truth or Lies

"You knew all along." Carmilla watched as the last of them choked on their own blood, her hands stained with the weight of their lives, proof of her loyalty, yet, her anger was not sated, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I suggest you choose quickly. Before things get ugly." Argo quietly looked at Carmilla, yet, when their eyes met, it was sparks, "I'm unreasonable, remember? Why are you so surprised?"

"You were always going to get rid of them." She began approaching him, that same glass, that had taken over a dozen lives a moment ago, still gripped tightly in her palm, cutting her flesh.

He quietly waved off the shadows with his eyes, and responded, "Only the ones that broke our laws." 

"You should have told me." Carmilla stopped just in front of him. Tears washing the blood from her face, "I sacrificed things, I sacrificed myself, and you knew."

"And what would you have done?" 

Christy felt the pit of her stomach open up.
