Several minutes later, Charles walked into the room with Piotr in tow, as soon as the two entered, Charles immediately got down to business addressing them for the upcoming mission.
The First X-Men, Scott, Jean, Warren, Hank and Bobby Drake aka Cyclops, MARVEL girl, Beast, Angel and Iceman, were sent on a mission to recruit a new mutant discovered by Cerebra.
However due to some unknown circumstances, the team was attacked and only Scott managed to find his way back but with no memory of the event. To Scott, this meant that he ran away leaving his friends behind, it was understandable why he was so irritable but unfortunately, that didn't concern David much.
"This mission is dangerous and you all could lose your lives so I can't force you to come along with me, however I beg of you to consider this" Charles said
"Why should I go get myself killed for people I don't even know?" Sunfure's thick Japanese accent filled the air.
If there was anything about the man, it was the fact that he had no real respect for anyone. Sort of countering the popular Japanese culture for respect.
"That's why he is begging. If you don't want to please leave" David stepped up and immediately conjured up a portal for him.
There was always that one guy that would try to challenge everything as though they didn't expect it from the beginning. Sunfire in particular was told everything so David didn't understand why the idiot was rebelling now
"David calm down," Charles said telepathically..
"If you do not wish to participate on the mission, you can simply step aside, however if interested, please follow David here to get ready, he will serve as your trainer until the time comes" Charles requested.
"Follow me" David said as he left the room.
To David, it didn't matter how many of them came, as long as none of them reached the Omega Level, they would never be able to defeat their opponent this time. However it wasn't stopping him from preparing them better, after a few minutes of walking they soon entered the medical bay.
"Welcome to my domain, within these grounds even reviving the dead isn't too far fetched" David said proudly.
This was the only way to help the X-Men with the way things were, he knew from the start that there would be many limits cast on him. Hence from the very beginning he had restricted himself to simple support roles.
"Woah!" Gasps of awe filled the air
"Is this how this place has always looked?" Charles asked.
"Of course.. Not, I made some little modifications, you talk as though you don't know me" David laughed.
"Just get them checked and provide them with their suits and get on with it" Scott said clearly annoyed.
"I'm getting to that, anyway everyone please on a single file, step onto the circular platform over there" David said pointing to a section of the lab.
In truth, he couldn't use his powers to wantonly heal anyone he wanted but nothing was stopping him from creating the most advanced medical laboratory in the universe.
"This?" Piotr asked as he stepped on it.
Immediately the platform lit up as they all saw a ring rise from the platform as it swooshed up and down as though scanning him.
"Good thank you, your results will be out soon, next" David said
