With a creak, Zhang Ya got startled.
She muttered quietly, "When Lanlan left, why didn't she close the door?"
While speaking, Zhang Ya reached out to close the door for An Lan, but just then, she subconsciously looked up and saw An Lan sitting quietly in her office chair. An Lan was sitting up straight with a vacant stare, which scared Zhang Ya so much she blurted out a curse.
"Damn it!" Zhang Ya's heart skipped a beat, her hair standing on end.
Her sudden voice also gave An Lan a scare.
An Lan came to her senses and, seeing that it was Zhang Ya, relaxed a little, "Yaya, when did you get here?"
"Lanlan, I was knocking at the door outside for ages with no response. I thought you had left, but to my surprise you were in the office all along. I got a real shock when I suddenly saw you."
Zhang Ya was patting her chest to calm down as she stepped inside and closed the door.
An Lan blinked, "Sorry, I didn't hear you just now."
