It felt peaceful.
He no longer felt pain or cold.
And he wished to stay like that.

He didn't want to.
His whole body hurt.
He was cold.

Even breathing was hard.
He wanted to keep his eyes closed and forget all about it. To remain in that cocoon of darkness. Feeling nothing, hearing nothing. Just the peaceful silence and nothingness.

He didn't really mind.
Everything else was a hassle.

He could barely remember.

Will you hide your face in the dirt like a coward?
That comment snapped his mind to attention.
His surrounding was a sea of white and nothingness, somewhere between consciousness and dreams.
