" I see. So you saw everything that had happened with us while you were out?" Jaber asked, opening one eye and then the other to check on them, frowning slightly.

 

His brow was furrowed in concern, but it wasn't because of what he was hearing. Rather, he didn't like what he was seeing.

 

The girl had changed and sat down in a chair for him to do a check-up on her, making sure she was truly fine after being exposed to that poison for too long.

 

" Not exactly everything. More like fleeting snippets," she said, looking at his wounded hand as he folded his arms before his chest.

 

Guessing at what she was already thinking, the man sighed before patting her shoulder, prompting her to look into his eyes. He offered her a soft smile. " It was something that I chose for myself. There is no need to blame yourself for it."

 

" But… because of me… your left hand…"
