There's a fuzzy feeling in my head when I wake up. Then the sparks start, beginning across the skin of my neck and my waist, filling me wholly until it spreads to my finger tips. Xavier's lips are gentle as they trace up and down my neck, his tongue occasionally darting out to lick at my skin. A gasp of air leaves my lips, causing Xavier to chuckle against my skin. His hand squeezes my waist, his thumb rubbing in circles.
"I've missed you, little one," he mumbles into my skin. My hand jumps to his chest, his heart beating heavily against my finger tips.
"Xavier?" His name gets caught in my throat. My eyes flutter. My stomach clenches.
"Celeste." He bites at my neck. I arch into him when he blows onto the heated skin. He pushes my waist down. "Be a good girl and be patient for me, will you?"
"Xavier~"
"Don't test me, baby. I'm trying very hard to remain at least a little respectful right now." His lips find mine, swallowing the words that tried to tumble from my mouth.
"Xavier," I gasp. "We- we-"
His lips find my neck again, teeth pulling at the skin that he'll mark. Goddess, I want him to mark me. I want to mark him. I want -
"Xavier!" He growls against my neck.
"Tell me to touch you, Celeste." His breath is heavy and hot against my skin. "Tell me how much you've missed me." His lips find mine again before I can respond. My shirt gets pushes up with one hand while the other traces the band of my sweats. Fingers trace the underside of my breast, the sparks shooting straight to my stomach. I feel a dampness begin to form in my underwear, my hips desperately trying to move against his. He chuckles as he forces my hips down. "Use your words, baby."
"Please Xavier," I whined, "just touch me." His hand under my breast drifts up, cupping the flesh and squeezing gently. I gasp into his mouth.
"Always so sensitive." He chuckles. His hand slips beneath my waistband, tracing my skin with the lightest touch. Sparks shoot through me and my toes curl.
A knock sounds at the door. My eyes shoot to it.
"Hey, they'll go away." He kisses me again, not allowing me to protest. Although, one second into the kiss and I've completely forgotten. His hand slips lower, dragging his fingers through my folds. "Already so wet," he mumbles, causing my cheeks to heat. He gives a sly smile when he sees. He diverts his lips to press into my cheek; his fingers leisurely teasing me.
"Xavier," I whine.
The knock sounds again.
"Xavier," I huff. I push at his shoulder and he resigns with a growl. His hands are both gone in an instant. I find my head flopping back. My heart pounds in my chest. I close my eyes as Xavier stomps his way to the door.
I readjust my arm in the sling, wincing as I take in the stiffness from the night. Xavier flops back onto the bed, face first. "It's for you," he mumbles. Lycer stands awkwardly in the middle of the doorway, wearing pants and a shirt that are both a bit too big for him. He waves a hand as he shifts from foot to foot.
I tumble out of bed, flattening my hair with my hand. "Hey," I say, arriving at his side and poking him. He swats at my hand. "Did you sleep okay?" He nods but doesn't say anything, his eyes darting to Xavier who's still flattened like a pancake in bed. "Do you want to go get food?" He shrugs. I roll my eyes. "Xavier, I'm going to breakfast." He's quick to scramble out of bed and follow after us.
I point out pictures along the staircase and hallway to Lycer, pointing out faces I know and don't. Xavier hums or corrects me whenever I ask for a clarification on something, letting me know which pictures were little Lesa and which were little Zay or which were him and which were Jared as the pairings don't look that far off when they're printed so. I stop when I get to one I hadn't seen before at the bottom of the stairs. My fingers run over the glass, tracing my own figure as it dances in the light of the bon fire with Josh and Zay.
"Is that you?" I nod. "You look so happy," he whispers.
Xavier wraps his arm around my middle, kissing my temple. "I hope she is." I turn to him, giving him a smile.
Xavier, Lycer, and I make our way to the dining room with brief stops to point out more pictures and knickknacks.
"Celeste!" I smile as soon as we walk through the doors. Lesa sits in a chair not too far into the room. I squeal, giving a silly little jog to get over to where she makes grabby hands at me. "You're home!"
"You're huge!" I laugh, squeezing her hands both in my one hand. She laughs with me, taking her hand and placing it on her large belly.
"I know!" I feel the baby kick under my hand. Lesa gives a wince. "Not so hard, baby boy." She takes several deep breaths. Her eyes find mine, a reflection of Xavier's comforting green filling my heart. "He has been being such an acrobat this morning. I think he could feel the excitement in the air." She squeezes my hand again then motions for me to give her a hug. I lean down into her as she squeezes me. I say nothing about the discomfort it brings to my arm. "You brought back a friend?" She eyes Lycer who is still waiting at the doorway. Xavier's already making himself a cup of coffee. I give him a small glare for not offering to make Lycer a plate or grab him a cup. I'll lecture him later.
I motion for him to come closer, an excited smile on my face. "Lycer, meet Lesa. Xavier's sister and one of my good friends." I turn to Lesa, sucking in a breath through my smiling teeth, practically bouncing on my feet. "Lesa, meet my oldest, bestest friend in the world, Lycer."
"Nice to meet you, Lesa." Lycer holds out his hand to the seated heavily pregnant woman.
"Nice to meet you!" She shakes his hand enthusiastically. Lycer can't help but give a small smile. "Celeste has told me all about you. Your hair is lighter than I imagined!" So what, if I had story time with Lesa.
"Wish I could say the same but the only things I've really heard have been about that one." He nods to Xavier, his old playful grin finding its way to his face. Xavier glances up from where he's making himself a plate. He doesn't say anything, merely glances at me and gives the smallest of smiles. Hm.
"Hey! I must've brought up everyone else at least once on our way back!" I defend.
"It's okay that you don't love any of us," a voice chimes in from the doorway. Josh stands, arms crossed as he leans against the door. "Except your hunky Alpha of course." He gives me a wink. I glare, my cheeks surely going red. Xavier clears his throat. "Sorry, Alpha," he mutters, straightening his stance and relaxing his arms. Josh walks over to us, immediately asking Lycer how he slept and if his room was okay and giving Lesa a squeeze around the shoulders. She wraps an arm around his legs and leans her head on his hip as he talks with Lycer. I smile at my little community.
"Celeste, come eat," Xavier calls from the head of the table. I squeeze Lycer's arm, telling him to make a plate and join me when he's ready.
