Faraday and his cage led to incredible amounts of chaos. Several lightning gods, unknowing of the mortal danger that Faraday represented to them, tried to fight back, only to have their divine lightning sapped. The deities quickly understood that it was futile to fight using lightning, and some of them went after the chromatic skeleton whilst keeping their divine lightning safely tucked away within them.
They surged forward with nought but their bodies and occasional weapons of divine craft, but whilst they deprived themselves of their lightning, Faraday had access to that which he had already robbed, allowing him to move at what was ironically much faster than the speed of lightning.
He moved from spot to spot in what seemed like a mere instant, wielding his staff, a weapon crafted an untold amount of time ago, which had gone through countless reforgings and enhancements, including being blessed by Pietrus using the orb of divine death upon his staff.
