(3rd person POV)
While Alex was dealing with two of his cursed techniques being out of commission for the moment a series of long laid plans were coming to fruition in the dark. In a distant mountain range uninhabited save a brave few a team consisting of a god and several members of his familia arrived at their destination.
"You sure the ancient records say this is the place? Doesn't look too special." one of the familia members with a scar through his left eye and a spear that looked as though it had bathed in blood asked doubtfully.
"It should be. Records from the age of spirits and heroes are scarce and the location of The hundred hands giant seal were intentionally left unrecorded. Still there were enough clues to let us roughly guess where the final battle with it took place and from there the location of the seal that imprisons it even now." the god who remained under a dark cloak said seriously.
The group kept silent after that as the god worked to uncover the seal created so long ago. When he did however the group perked up.
"About time! So are we just going to crack the seal wide open or not?" An impatient female familia member asked.
"Foolish child, unless you wish us to be the first thing the beast feasts upon we will do no such thing. I will set up a blood corrosion ritual over the seal just strong enough to allow us to evacuate the area before the seal fails and unleashes it. I need sacrifices for the ritual, a village aught to serve well enough. Go find one and bring them to me." the god said firmly.
Meanwhile in the vast toxic swamps located at the edge of Telskyura the kingdom of the amazons another team stood on the edge of the noxious waters.
"Kukukuku! The Knuckelavee is definitely sealed here! Even sealed it's toxic nature has seeped out onto this land and reduced it this this state, worthy of an ancient calamity! Now to find the focal point of the seal to unravel it and release the beast upon this complacent world!" the goddess of the group said with a sinister smile.
She had black heavy make up over her eyes and many piercings adorning her face of jagged iron. She wore a set of black pants and tunic tied at the waist with what appeared to be rope but was in fact human hair. She was barefoot and dark skinned as she waded into the toxic swamp that caused blisters to rise from her skin where the waters touched. She just smiled madly as though unharmed as she walked through the swamp until she reached the very center of it.
"May chaos, injustice and disorder plague the land in my name, Isfet!" she said as she drew out a jagged cursed blade and without hesitation plunged it into her heart.
A vast beam of divine energy shattered the area she stood in as her divine essence was released from it's seal and ascended back to the divine realm. The damage was done however and the already dark waters of the swamp began to boil with an inky blackness and hiss and pop as an ancient calamity was awoken and began to rise from it's prison of so many years. -
In the vast desert land far to the west of Orario that lay between the port kingdom of Atlantis ruled by the Poseidon familia and the mountain that was at the edge of the great plains another dark group moved with ill intention.
"Here." the god of the group said stopping at a spot where only a black boulder poked above the sand.
He was a small looking god with long silver hair and gaunt features not unlike a skeleton. His clothes were merely a single full body robe of black with frayed edges and torn sleeves that cover his sickly looking form.
"Are you sure lord Thanatos?" one of the people with him asked seriously.
"Yes, Antares was sealed away here. Theres no mistaking the aura of death and corrupted false divine energy here. Of the three ancient calamities sealed away only Antares was done through trickery. While it rested in it's burrow the great earth spirit sacrificed herself and several other spirits to seal it away where they hoped it would be lost forever beneath the sands. I am death itself however and the location of such sacrifice can't be hidden from me. Uncover the entrance to the burrow and I will do the rest." Thanatos said calmly.
So it was that this group dug deep and wide around the stone until a buried entrance, jagged and cold was opened up to them.
Following Thanatos they entered the dark abyssal cave that winded down for several minutes before a dull throbbing light was seen from an opening ahead. As they walked out it's source became apparent. In the center of this massive cavern a massive dark colored statue in the form of a dreadful scorpion with strange script written across it's carapace lay curled up with many dense glowing chains held taunt from the walls of the cavern wrapped around it tightly. Above these chains a pulsing orb of energy that felt suffocating to the mortals of the group hung a single steady stream of it's energy being fed into the great chains.-
"Behold the great divine calamity Antares! You see the script running across it's body? That is a mockery of divine script that the dungeon tried to imitate. That script gives this calamity a power most unique, it can only show it's full power with a steady source of divine energy. In the ancient age it devoured spirits for this function but in this age we shall provide it the gift of a goddess upon it's unsealing. Lets get to work." Thanatos said seriously.
