Synopsis
ORIGINAL STORY. NOT A TRANSLATION. MC IS OVERPOWERED. SOMETIMES THE MC IS NOT THE FOCUS OF THE STORY. Sypnosis: What do you think happens when all hope is lost? When there is a profound imbalance in the universe, causing waves of suffering that ripple through countless lives, all because the chains of selfishness and ignorance bind individuals together, rendering them powerless? In a typical scenario, this disarray would lead to the cataclysmic destruction of the universe. A cosmos that lacks equilibrium has forsaken its core purpose and becomes unworthy of its own existence. A flawed creation. Yet, the annihilation of the universe entails more than just the end of one reality; it also signifies the erasure of other galaxies, countless innocent beings, and the rich tapestry of life that flourishes within them. Even the universe itself, which cherishes its creations with an impartial love, would be loath to take such drastic measures. For this type of scenario, the universe decides it needs a new person who can distribute and embody the concept of Hope. Kardia, a seemingly normal guy, whose name means "Heart" in the old Greek language, was the person that the universe decided it needed to bring to bring "hope to this new world."

Chapter 1 - Act 0, Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Nightmare.

Hey!

Happy LATE Christmas and Happy New Year!

Some of you know me from my story "Marvel: The God of Humanity," and I appreciate your support. I will continue to upload further chapters for that story, but with the end of the holidays and with a lot of work recently, my time has been quite limited.

Excuses, but I have valid reasons to excuse myself.

To make up for not uploading during Christmas, I bring you a new story titled "Warhammer 40k: The "Heart" of Hope." You can enjoy this while I work on more episodes for my other story, and once I'm ready to upload for that one, you'll have this one to tide you over.

Now, we all know that Warhammer 40k is one of the darkest and most dangerous worlds in fiction, filled with constant war and peril for civilians and military alike.

My idea for this fanfic is to bring hope back into the Warhammer 40k universe.

The main character is designed to be "overpowered" as he becomes the leader of an entirely new faction, and one faction that directly opposes "EVERYONE" in the Warhammer 40k universe.

Especially theChaos Gods and other entities that thrive on chaos.

While the MC is powerful, he will still not be able to compete with the Chaos Gods, at least... not right now. Especially if we take the power scaling of the Warhammer 40k universe community into account.

For example, the Emperor is often described as "boundless" by some people.

Additionally, this story has several references to "Tensura."

If you haven't figured it out, I really enjoy Tensura and love the Ultimate Skill "Raphael," so I'm incorporating some elements from that series into this one.

With all that said, I hope you enjoy this story!

Act 0, Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Nightmare.

//////

What do you think happens when all hope is lost?

Thus, as the universe, which doesn't have a consciousness yet has a will to protect itself, found itself cornered and contemplating its final option, it realized that it needed to summon a savior.

However, the realization struck hard—it could not rely on its own inhabitants. It could not rely on its own creation.

Its creations, despite their potential, were deeply flawed, marred by the very ignorance and selfishness that had led to their plight.

The stark truth was unavoidable; they were ill-equipped to fulfill the monumental task of restoration.

After all, using individuals who themselves were in desperate need of saving to undertake the mission of salvation seemed like an exercise in futility—a calculation that simply didn't add to anything.

For this reason, the universe, in its beauty and immense will, made a call for help.

It expended all its metaphysical resources and energies in an effort to reach beyond its confines, seeking assistance from an outside force, a being capable of restoring harmony and rekindling hope.

This being would need to inspire joy, to bring hope, mend the fractures in existence, and bring forth a dynamic equilibrium—someone capable of both enacting good and addressing the darker aspects of reality to effect genuine change.

And so... it did.

It started its search, and after a time, it decided on the person.

The Universe was willing to allow everything to the said person, if it meant that person could save the universe.

...

Kardia sighed deeply, the sound resonating through the quiet room.

His gaze was fixed on the screen in front of him, as a range of swirling colors and intricate images that seemed to dance and pulse with a life of their own stared back at him.

The soft click of a mechanical device echoed as he absentmindedly poked at the keyboard resting in his lap.

His fingers moved instinctively, a response to the bright visuals flashing before him, but his mind was far from focused.

"Man… is there a new game I can play and grind the hell out of?" he mused, the question hanging in the air unanswered. He was annoyed. Very annoyed and bored.

Kardia had grown accustomed to talking to himself, a habit born of countless hours spent alone. Yet, he always yearned for a voice to echo his thoughts back to him with encouragement.

At twenty-three, Kardia was in a phase of life that felt simultaneously freeing and empty.

By day, he was just another cog in the machine, clocking in for a mundane nine-to-five job that paid the bills.

He lived a simple life: rent for his modest apartment was affordable, grocery expenses were manageable, and he made it a point to hit the gym a few times a week to stay fit.

With no romantic commitments or family responsibilities to tether him, his evenings transformed into a ritual—a predictable loop of video games and sleep.

As the hours slipped away, he found solace in the virtual worlds he explored, where at least he could be a hero or a strategist. Where he could decide his own life.

But as he stared at the screen, flipping through menus and trailers, he felt a familiar tug of restlessness.

Would he find the game that truly captured his interest, or would the cycle continue, leaving him to seek out yet another distraction until it was time to rest for the night?

Kardia had always enjoyed simple yet complex games. He preferred titles with chaotic storylines that were straightforward in terms of gameplay.

Games like DOOM Eternal, Doom: The Dark Ages, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Titanfall 1 and 2, Warhammer 40k: Darktide, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 1 and 2, Mecha Break, Cyberpunk 2077, Armoured Core, The First Descendant, Warframe, Destiny 2, Honkai: Impact 3rd, Honkai: Star Rail, Fate/Grand Order, and many others were his favorites.

These games might not be considered "true" gaming experiences by some, especially as people only consider titles like Dark Souls as true wielders of that title.

Yet, Kardia appreciated these games for their unique style. They featured complex stories while offering straightforward gameplay.

The Warhammer 40k universe exemplified this structure. Some Warhammer games focused on strategy, while others leaned heavily into action, catering primarily to a male audience.

Yet, the lore was insane.

The DOOM series followed a similar theme, revolving around a protagonist who kills demons out of pure hatred.

Kardia's enjoyment of video games was also influenced by factors like art style, gameplay, and the depth of the lore.

This included gacha games like Fate/Grand Order and Honkai: Star Rail, which he played for their intricate stories and appealing characters.

However, Kardia found himself experiencing what many would call a "debuff moment."

His motivation to play video games gradually waned as he completed game after game. While some, like the gacha titles, continued to provide new stories with regular updates, others, such as Armoured Core, Warframe, Destiny 2, and Titanfall, felt finished to him.

After all, those games were technically repetitive-driven. Except for Armoured Core, which had some "story" to it, but it was technically a "Dark Souls" game for "mechas."

For example, he had farmed so much in Warframe that he felt exhausted from the repetitive grind. The same was true for Destiny 2.

Although Titanfall was an enjoyable FPS shooter featuring mechs, it had also exhausted its content. The game is also very old, and few people play it.

The First Descendant had great gameplay, but he found it repetitious, akin to Warframe and Destiny 2.

Ultimately, Kardia had grown fed up with those video games, yet he still plays them. For the same reason, he began to play other games.

Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Sekiro, Stellar Blade, Resident Evil, Uncharted, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy, and many others.

You can say that due to that decision of stepping away from that genre of repetition, Kardia developed a solid taste in video games.

While others might disagree, he found value in the games he originally liked, and the now "story" driven games.

Yet, he felt a growing sense of boredom.

The good games, single-player games, he played them at least twice. One time to play the story, and the other time to completely complete the game and get the Platinum trophy.

After that, he would jump to other games, and later, go back to the video games he always played.

However, those games he always played or that he preferred were either still in development, waiting for their next update, or required him to spend hours farming a single item, which was disheartening.

Although Kardia liked the idea of endless grinding, for specific games, but if he had to do it for EVERY SINGLE game he played, he most likely wouldn't do it.

For the same reason, Kardia, being a lazy bastard himself, most times would go on the internet and buy cheats from those cheeky websites.

All of this to simply enjoy the game without needing to die, or needing to worry about cooldowns, or even ammunition, or crafting cooldowns.

But even with that, he had come to be bored. Extremely bored.

"I guess I'll go to sleep for a bit."

Kardia rose from his seat, a sleek, high-end gaming chair upholstered in black leather that he had saved up for months to buy.

The computer screen flickered softly, illuminated with the remnants of the game he had been immersed in, but he didn't want to turn it off just yet.

He did not turn off the computer, mostly because it was still very early, and he was simply going to take a nap and keep trying to find something useful. After all, it was his day off from work.

However, Kardia took notice of something unusual around him. He felt a subtle tremor beneath his feet, a peculiar sensation that momentarily caught him off guard.

At first, it was a mere vibration, like the faint hum of a distant vehicle, not enough to disturb his balance.

But as the moments passed, the vibrations intensified, transforming into a relentless, throbbing motion that echoed throughout the room.

A gut-wrenching realization struck Kardia: a massive earthquake was unfolding around him.

Panic surged through him as he tried to collect his thoughts. Should he move to a safer area in his cramped apartment, or was it wiser to flee the building entirely?

In school, they always taught you how to respond in case of an Earthequake, but this was not school, and the last time he saw school was five years ago.

His thought came back to reality as he heard another sound.

But before he could make a decision, something inexplicable happened. It felt as though an unseen force had gripped him tightly, anchoring him in place, despite the chaos enveloping him.

It was as if destiny itself had intervened.

In that very instant, the ceiling above him cracked ominously, and a heavy beam of wood broke free, plummeting toward him.

Though the edge of the wood was dull, the sheer force with which it struck his face was staggering. Pain radiated through him, and for a brief moment, he felt as though he was floating, his vision filled with flickering stars.

Kardia was sure that at least his jaw was broken, or even his nose.

As he struggled to regain his composure, the walls surrounding him began to splinter and collapse. Each tremor sent waves of despair coursing through his body, and a chilling awareness settled in: life was gradually slipping away from him.

In his final moments, a profound sadness enveloped Kardia. He lamented the life he never got to live—one filled with freedom, power, and the audacity to bend the rules of life to his advantage.

He had dreamed of rising to the top, experiencing an existence beyond the drudgery that defined his days.

As the dust settled and darkness closed in, a fleeting thought surfaced in his mind: perhaps, just perhaps, he was about to have his wish heard.

...

Death was nothing.

He expected death to be... more interesting.

Yet, despite his thought, he expected… nothing.

Yes. He expected nothing. Literally nothing.

After all, death is one of those concepts that are beyond humans' reach. But because he was human, and he was fed multiple fictional stories, he expected more.

If he were to go back to Earth and tell someone that Death was nothing, someone would call him crazy. Not because they couldn't believe him, but because there is no proof of his words.

Yes... after all, humans are guided through logic.

A complex yet simple concept like Death would be too illogical for humans to even understand.

In his world, this type of thinking was an existential form of expectation that could bring someone to the brink of insanity. Not because they were insane, but because of the endless search to prove they were right.

The journey to prove something will always prove the contrary.

All creatures knew that it was bound to happen one day, and yet no one was ready for it. This was because life was always changing and different for each individual in the universe.

Kardia had been oblivious that a massive earthquake was going to take his relatively normal life away in an instant.

But... Kardia did not understand what was in front of him. Maybe that was the paradox of meaning.

He felt that he was still himself, but there was nothing around him.

An infinite void enveloped him; he couldn't see, couldn't feel--only an endless blackness surrounded him, an embrace of everlasting peace that, for someone like him, who gets bored pretty easily, felt more like relentless torment.

Kardia attributed his current state to a state of paradox. The paradox of non-existence.

The paradox of non-existence was the idea that before existence, the universe, there was nothing. Yet, from that black void, something came to exist.

This was the paradox.

In the void, apparently nothing exists, but something does exist; they don't know what it is.

Kardia also didn't know how long he had been here. Simply, he was ruminating with his own thoughts, trying to think of things he did and did not do back when he was still alive.

Yet, something happened.

Kardia didn't know when it happened, but without a warning, a jolt startled his senses back to life. It was as if lightning had struck him down.

Almost each one of his senses-- touch, smell, hearing, and taste came back to life.

The feeling was incredible.

'Is this what revival feels like to people who come from the dead in those anime?'

Kardia simply felt the same as he thought.

In anime, a lot of characters, either good or evil, were revived because of the power or knowledge they had that the plot needed. It was, in a way, a plot device.

Yet, he didn't think that something like this would ever happen.

Normally, Kardia would be extremely happy that his senses came back to life, but... this felt so strange that it made him rethink things.

These events made him feel nervous and some type of dread. Everything felt so abrupt, as if someone was playing with what was left of his little existence.

Just like he thought, Kaiser felt even more nervous and apprehensive about his current state, but he couldn't do anything. He also felt that his last sense, his sense of sight, came back to life.

Ironic.

He couldn't see anything, as everything and anything near him was completely black. After all, this was the void, or the realm of the dead.

But that quickly changed.

"Ahh!"

Kardia screamed as a curtain of light suddenly appeared in front of him. The scream of pain, as someone who has not seen anything in god knows how long, was justified.

Thankfully, Kardia was able to adapt to the pain and to the light. After all, for him, it was very bright, but back in his world, it would be a normal level of light.

What seemed to be a sort of screen, which blinked into his view, glowed with an otherworldly glow.

'Wait... did he even have eyes right now? Was he hallucinating? Or could it be that some celestial being was playing an elaborate prank on him?'

As Kardia was dwelling on his own thoughts, he heard and read it at the same time.

[SYSTEM: Inter-Universal Reincarnation Lottery Booting Up.]

The sudden voice struck him like a thunderstorm.

He did not hear incorrectly, right? He was not losing his mind, right?

But before he started to go crazy and experience an existential crisis, something happened again.

The very screen that was in front of him, which had blinded him momentarily, began to shine even brighter, which blinded him once again.

Kaiser was confused as he heard the voice.

It was a female, sensual robotic voice that sounded very similar to one from a famous anime.

Is it reminiscent of the Voice of the World from "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime"?

Wait… was he reincarnated into the world of Tensura?

Holy shit!

The world of Tensura is known throughout Japan as one of the best-selling isekai stories ever created. The protagonist of that series is universally recognized.

The protagonist is Rimuru Tempest.

Yes, the main character from the anime "The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime."

The female voice was indeed similar to the robotic voice of the Voice of the World, as well as the voice of the Unique Skill "Great Sage" and later "Lord of Wisdom Raphael," which belongs to Rimuru Tempest.

However, the idea of reincarnating in the world of Tensura seemed impossible.

After all, the world of Tensura is fictional—a creation of someone from his original world, not from a reality outside of their own.

A thought flickered in his mind.

There's a saying that artists can't draw faces they haven't seen before. But that thought quickly faded away.

After all, that quote is predominantly used in thirst trap edits on TikTok, so it hardly matters.

'What the hell is going on?'

Kaiser's mind raced with countless thoughts, desperately searching for a logical explanation for his predicament.

Being naturally cautious, he did not think this situation boded well for him. But there was nothing he could do.

"Wait! W-what are you!?"

Kaiser felt compelled to ask. After all, humanity is defined by its curiosity and the tendency to pry into matters that might be better left alone.

[What am I?]

[I am the System of Reincarnation. I am the one who will guide you through the reincarnation process so that you can enter another world.]

The system of reincarnation was pretty straightforward. She responded to his questions, but did not provide further information.

But in Kardia's perception, everything was changing.

'Reincarnation?'

The first thing that came to Kardia's mind was the word "Isekai" when he heard the word 'reincarnation' when he was talking about fiction. Although the two words have NOTHING to do with each other.

The concept of the word "Isekai" is that a certain person dies in their previous world, and they later reincarnate in another one.

Most of the time, they get powerful abilities that set them apart from the rest of the characters, while sometimes, on the bad side of the stick, they can get extremely bad luck and end up like Subaru Natsuki.

However, the concept of Isekai was not supposed to be real. A concept of Isekai is something only seen in light novels, anime, and manga.

However, here he was, getting his perception of reality completely rewritten by a simple sentence of the system of reincarnation.

At least this was not like those 'regression' or 'cultivation' stories from Korea and China. Those are worse than Japan's concept of Isekai.

In 'Regression' stories, something bad happened in the future, and the main character was trying to prevent that from happening.

But this results in changing the timeline, and somehow the character ends up with a harem. Yeah... right... somehow.

This is something that did not happen to him, as he did not go back to the real world.

And in 'Cultivation' stories, it was simply about a man who cultivated his way to the top of the food chain. Although not reincarnation, there is a lot of transmigration.

Kardia's opinion on cultivation stories was mixed. A really good 'cultivation' story was better than most Isekai and Regression stories.

Still, a bad cultivation story was worse than even the worst Regression and Isekai stories.

Kardia's opinion of Cultivation was also buried. In some ways, Chinese cultivation was simply slop. Most of the stories were slop.

But some of the general concepts that most of those stories shared were extremely good, and they could work in other worlds.

The concept of absorbing the spiritual energy of the world to elevate one's state of life was actually a very good concept.

Compressing energy and reusing that energy to form a denser and stronger form of energy. That is a good concept.

Many other concepts were extremely viable, but because no one in his previous world had awakened superpowers, no one knew if those concepts could be used.

Kardia sighed and got himself ready for whatever was going to come his way.

Out of nowhere, something occurred. This caught Kardia's focused attention.

Kardia's sweat dropped anime style as he watched a massive roulette wheel spin appear in front of the screen he was watching. The neon colors of black, green, gold, and red whirled past like some casino fever dream.

He half-expected to lose and receive a reward, saying '10% off your next reincarnation' as a prize.

Although he thought of it as a joke, Kardia was not going to be surprised if it happened.

Kardia sighed.

Kardia hopes that his life doesn't end up like the life of Subaru Natsuki, a protagonist of one of the anime that he watched before.

The young man had it rough, and that in itself was an understatement. His life was quite literally hell.

Regardless of what he was thinking now, Kardia did not want any problems. But as those thoughts came, Kardia realized another problem.

That problem had oddly become his good fortune.

Throughout his life, luck had been an elusive specter—bad, or at best, mediocre. At least, that was the belief he clung to.

"System... How does your mechanism operate? Is it based on luck? If so, could you perform a luck check for me?"

Kardia inquired of the system, a barely contained sense of urgency threading through his voice.

Before embarking on any endeavor, he yearned to gauge the extent of his luck. If the results revealed dismal fortunes, his ambitious dream of acquiring formidable skills or extraordinary abilities would be all but extinguished.

However, if fortune leaned toward mediocrity or, dare he hope, prosperity, he could navigate the uncertainties with some semblance of confidence.

[Indeed. My functions operate based on luck. As per your request, I can provide an estimate of your luck levels.]

Kardia: "...."

[Commencing analysis.]

[Calculating...]

[Result... 100k luck points.]

[Wait...]

[Recalculating.]

[Result...]

[...]

Kardia blinked, or at least tried to, when he saw that the system was tweaking out. He freaked out.

"Wasn't this process supposed to be... smooth? Why are you recalculating again? Did something go wrong?"

Kardia asked, trying to see what was happening to the system.

[Ah.. My apologies. It seems someone was trying to interfere. Everything has been fixed. We can proceed.]

"Oh, thank god... wait!? What do you mean someone tried to intervene?"

Kardia was shocked when he heard that someone tried intervene with his luck.

[Recalculating luck points.]

[Result: Infinite Positive Luck Points.]

When the result flashed on the screen, a rush of bewilderment surged through Kardia. He tried to rub his nonexistent hands over his bewildered eyes, struggling to grasp the reality laid out before him.

Could it be true?

Was he truly being told that he, a person perpetually shadowed by misfortune in his previous life, had somehow been granted infinite luck?

Was this even a credible reality?

No...

He didn't believe.

Kardia wanted to kiss the "Someone" who had intervened. He saw it, he read it. His luck points were only going to be 100k.

At least... with Infinite Luck Points, he can get something good. More than good.

Yet, as he pondered the implications, the excitement of not being hamstrung by a lack of good fortune washed over him, shifting his focus to how to manipulate this newfound luck to secure the extraordinary skills he desired.

"So... how does this entire process work?" That question loomed large in his mind.

The initial thrill that alleviated his worries about insufficient luck faded, replaced by an urgent curiosity: how could he effectively direct this new fortune to procure the abilities he explicitly wished for?

[The system functions in this manner.]

[You will be allotted five hours to conceive templates, weapons, systems, skills, abilities, and techniques that you wish to acquire. Following this period, everything you've selected will be processed through your luck.]

The system responded, and Kardia found it pretty straightforward. The way that Kardia liked it.

It works similarly to a shopping list that a person makes when going to the supermarket.

You can go into the supermarket and grab the items you wrote down in the list, but if the item you are looking for is not there, it is a different story.

In Kardia's case, everything was guaranteed. Everything was in stock, and he had infinite "money" to get everything.

"Is there a way to access a tablet or a screen that showcases the items I want? Can I also request things beyond this realm?"

While five hours seemed ample time for someone well-versed in video games, anime, and manga, just like him, the absence of a streamlined method to observe and choose his desired skills was killing him.

After all, with so many skills in fiction, if you don't have a clear ability in mind, or more like, more in sight, like seeing the list, one wouldn't be able to make them come together.

[Of course. I will give you a long list of multiple fictional universes, as you seem to like those more.]

Kardia was now happy.

When Kardia suddenly discovered that he could manipulate the transparent screen hovering just in front of him, a rush of exhilaration surged through him.

The screen was filled with an array of dazzling icons and vibrant colors, showcasing a myriad of genres, skills, abilities, techniques, and templates that felt almost limitless.

Overwhelmed yet fascinated, he dedicated the next five hours to immersing himself in this opportunity.

His mind raced as he meticulously sifted through the options, weighing the pros and cons of each potential choice.

He discovered that he could edit any aspect of the content, but making changes would incur additional costs.

For instance, in the anime "Record of Ragnarok," Qin Shi Huang possesses "Mirror-Touch Synesthesia." If Kardia wanted to use Qin Shi Huang's template without that ability, he would need to pay a higher price.

Alternatively, he could modify it so that Qin Shi Huang has the ability to empathize, which is similar to the original "Mirror-Touch Synesthesia" but without the negative side effects he experiences during battles.

For that same reason, he began to edit multiple templates, abilities, skills, and so on. He has unlimited "money," meaning he can increase the cost.

He edited and refined his selections, pulling from various categories to tailor a unique skillset that perfectly fit his aspirations.

As the final touches were applied and the last skill was selected with a decisive click, a sense of satisfaction washed over him.

He leaned back, or at least tried to replicate the feeling, a broad smile spreading across his face, his heart racing with anticipation.

He had chosen templates, skills, abilities, and talents. Things that were meant to combine together.

Templates, skills, and abilities that can give him a clear advantage, and also give him unlimited growth. After all, strength comes with talent.

At that moment, he heard the familiar voice of the system chime in, breaking the silence.

[Analyzing List...]

[Processing.]

[....]

[Confirmed.]

[Everything has been acquired.]

Kardia smiled when he heard the system say that.

[DING! Congratulations!]

[You have obtained the Perfect Ultimate Skill "Azathoth, God of the Void."]

[System's Note: The sub-skills named "Nihility Collapse" and "True Dragon Release and Nucleation" will not be included in this Ultimate Skill. And the sub-skill named "Space-Time Domination" will be locked until the individual has the means necessary to replicate it.]

"Damn... they took away the most powerful abilities." Kardia was a bit mad, but he understood why.

If he were to acquire "Nihility Collapse," it was pretty much over. No character development, no nothing.

Well... when you are overpowered, you really don't have "character development."

Also, why was he thinking he was some kind of protagonist?

Was someone going to read this? Probably not. Right...?

[Ding! Congratulations!]

[You have obtained the perfect Ultimate Skill "Nodens, God of the Abyss"]

[You have obtained the Ultimate Skill "Shub-Niggurath, Lord of Harvest."]

[This Ultimate Skill has suffered multiple changes. To your request, this skill is now able to analyze the illogical, concepts, laws, abstract concepts, antimatter, matter, emotions, the impossible, etc.]

"Damn..." Kardia smiled. At least he got what he chose, which is more than enough.

"Raphael, Raphael. You don't know how LONG I wanted to have a skill like you." Kardia said to himself, his excitement was evident.

"That is everything, right?" Kardia said, but he was truly unsure.

That was a lot of things he chose, but at least he kept it... simple. He didn't go overboard like the first time.

First time...? Is Kardia breaking the fourth wall?

[Notice. I have to warn you of the following.]

[All templates chosen will be perfectly fused together. Important elements such as blood, race, unique traits, and more will be integrated perfectly.]

[All memories, training regimens, potential, talent, techniques, and similar attributes of all templates will be inherited and multiplied amongst each other to create something new. This "new" will be you."]

[However, to avoid overwhelming the brain during reincarnation, all memories related to abilities, techniques, and training regimens will be stored in a memory bank within a dimension called "Imaginary Space," which is part of the Ultimate Skill "Azathoth, God of the Void."]

"That is handy. I wouldn't want to be overwhelmed with so many memories."

Kardia thanked the system.

It was true, with so many templates, it was going to be hard not get overwhelmed by their memories.

[I will also let you know that YOU WILL NOT start as strong as the template that you chose; instead, you will need to train to reach that level of power, or even surpass it. You will start with regular "human" strength.]

[However, the only bypass to this is the "psychic" and "psionic" abilities. Those will remain as "Omega Level," because it wouldn't make sense to reduce their potency.]

"That is fair. It would be pointless if I just reincarnated with the strength of the templates."

It made a lot of sense, and it was also fair. Imagine starting with the insanely powerful and ever-growing strength of the "Hulk." Yeah... that's overkill.

[As a bonus, you will be treated as a "Higher-Dimensional" being.]

[Why?]

[This is because this 'status' will give you protection from more powerful foes that could potentially feel you entering their universe.]

"That is actually very helpful. That way, I don't have to find ways to "block" my memories."

Imagine reincarnating in the world of Warhammer 40k, and when you arrive, the four chaos gods read your mind, and they find out that they are only "entertainment" for people of another universe.

Yeah... No, thank you.

[Also, because there are multiple male and female templates, and those genders are also "integrated" into you, as to not confuse you, you will start as a "Gender Fluid" human.]

[But you will start with a male appearance, as I know you identify as male. But, in case you need to transform into a female, you can always do it, as it is an innate ability.]

Kardia was quiet at the beginning because he wanted to know what the System wanted to say. While he appreciated the fact that he was "considered" a 'higher dimensional' being as a way of protection, he didn't expect the final paragraph.

Not that he actually minded, but still... crazy to think about.

Fortunately, Kardia managed to obtain everything he desired.

It was too evident.

But what was the last thing he got?

A system.

Wasn't this... too used? Too repetitive?

Mmm... yeah.

Kardia had read multiple stories where a dude like him, who was playing video games all day, got to reincarnate with a system based on the games installed on his computer.

Kardia had MULTIPLE games installed on his computer, cellphone, and console, and he played every single one of them interchangeably.

He had games like Warhammer 40k, DOOM, Stellaris, StarCraft, Halo, Star Wars, Warframe, Solo Leveling, Final Fantasy, Destiny 1 and 2, and many other sci-fi games.

Not just sci-fi games, including gacha games.

So the VERY first thing that he decided to get was a system based on the video games that he had on his computer.

The system was more like blueprints for technology, weapons, and so on. The actual "system, like part of the system, was the summoning part, which included video games, anime, and some comics.

He was able to upload all of the games he wanted, including games that he didn't have, like Marvel and DC games, and surprisingly, even the cheats that he had downloaded were available.

But for the cheats, he had to pay INCREDIBLY HIGH amounts of "luck points." Thankfully, he had infinite luck points; if not, he wouldn't have been able to buy them.

The first cheat that Kardia uploaded, or bought, and added to the system was the "no-cooldown cheat." This means that whatever he gets from the system will work without cooldowns.

The example here is that if a machine uses a special ability, but after using that ability, it requires five seconds for the machine to reset to be used again.

With this cheat, the machine can be used without stopping, and it won't be damaged by it.

The second cheat he uploaded was the cheat named "15x all rewards."

With this cheat on, any type of currency and rewards that the system will give him in the future will be multiplied by fifteen, giving him a lot of currency.

This only applies to currency, things like material, and so on; those aren't applicable, that literally would be cheating, although he is already cheating.

The next cheat he uploaded was the "No side effects" cheat.

With this cheat on, any side effect that tries to affect him, or that tries to affect anyone that is a subordinate of him, or whatever he gets from the system, will not apply.

This also applies to buffs.

If there is a buff that gives like 50% more speed or more strength, but there is a side effect like taking two health points per second, this cheat will remove those side effects permanently.

The next cheat uploaded was the cheat named "Unlock ALL." Just like the name implies, this cheat allows you to unlock all functions of the system.

It does not mean that he gets to use all of them automatically. After all, some functions and technologies of the system required him to have certain points, but with this cheat, he simply has access to them from the beginning.

You know that in certain games, you can unlock other functions after certain levels?

It is the same for the system. But with this cheat, EVERYTHING is unlocked, meaning he can use a lot of technologies right away, of course, if he has the material to build them.

Still, this cheat is made to skip the rigorous process of going around unlocking things, as everything is already unlocked.

The next cheat he uploaded was the cheat for infinite loyalty and devotion.

The name of the cheat is "Infinite Loyalty, Devotion, Worship, and Love."

Because most of the games he played are about building and ruling, this cheat is the perfect one.

This cheat would also work with the sub-skill of the Ultimate Skill "Azathoth, God of the Void" named "Food-Chain."

Just like the name implies, this cheat will make anyone who is summoned by him through the system have infinite loyalty and devotion towards him.

This cheat also extends to people who pledge loyalty to him who are not summoned by the system.

Let's say, if someone that he defeats in battle, in an attempt to save their life, tries to pledge loyalty, Kardia can accept that loyalty, and the cheat would work on them instantly.

The cheat is also a bit exaggerated because as soon as they are under the influence of it, they will worship him and be incredibly loyal to him.

This cheat not only works on organic life, but also on digital life-forms like AIs that gain a soul, or their own thoughts.

This can help a lot, especially in worlds where AI is more bad than good.

This devotion and loyalty can be inherited.

For example, if two of his followers have a child, said child would already be imprinted in their soul and mind that they need to have loyalty towards him.

It can be called brainwashing, but Kardia wanted loyalty.

"Man... why can't this cheat work in real life? That way women can't fucking cheat... the same for men."

Kardia hated disloyalty.

This would also prevent people, in his new world, whichever world it was going to be, from ever simply declaring loyalty to him, but then trying to get information on them to deliver it to the enemy.

From what Kardia read from the description of the cheat, it is that when it is applied to reality, it can grant a level of loyalty so advanced and profound that even certain people can start revering him as a god.

In certain universes... the ability to make them worship him as a god could be a cheat, especially in worlds like Elden Ring and Warhammer 40k.

In Elden Ring, there is faith, which seems to be the power that powers the Erdtree and also powers Marika and Radagon.

The same thing for the Emperor and the four Chaos Gods in 40k. The more that people worship them and do acts that the Gods want them to do, the stronger they become.

With all of those cheats, skills, and more, Kardia was ready to reincarnate. At least with everything else, Kardia was ready to reincarnate.

[Everything has been processed.]

[I will start the process of selecting a universe where you will reincarnate.]

[Calculating...]

[Unknown interference is occurring again.]

[...]

[Congratulations! You will reincarnate in the Warhammer 40k Universe.]

Kardia, who was happy that he had chosen good templates, good skills, and simply good vibes, slowly but surely, his nonexistent smile faded.

No...

No, no, no....

No.

NO.

NOOOOO!

That can't be right.

No...

He heard wrong.

Completely wrong, right?

Did the system say the First Descendant? Fairy Tail? Fate/Grand Order?

Yeah... he heard those names, not Warhammer 40k, right?

Wait... unknown interference?

Was the Chaos Gods part of this?

No, no... no... NO! FUCK NO!

No fucking way...

You know you are a true Warhammer 40k fan when you don't even want to go to the Warhammer 40k universe. It is because you know how fucked up that world really is.

A true Warhammer 40k fan will tell you that they can serve the Imperium at any moment, but it is their time to serve; they will tell you to go fuck yourself.

Kardia managed to calm himself.

"Well... it might actually work."

"With the skills and advantages that I have... yeah... I think I can do it."

Yeah... he could make it work.

Of course, it could work.

At least if he doesn't spawn, or "wakes" in front of a Tyranid. A Tyranid that was trying to eat him alive.

"Did I just jinx it? I think I did... FUCK!"

Well...

Shit is going to be crazy, that is for sure.
