[SAKURA]
That night, Sakura didn't sleep.
She never did, but on this particular night, she was way too restless. Her mind was filled with worry for the mission she had dismissed ever so casually. It wasn't supposed to mean anything.
Gods, it wasn't supposed to be worth anything.
Yet the way that Otaru had insisted had Sakura grasping at invisible straws. She had never thought she would get to be in such a position, but here she was, desperate for something that even she could not name.
She was reigning in a world that didn't care whether she was right or wrong, a world that didn't care for sanity, and that scared her for a moment. She had never gotten to do this, never gotten to be this occupied.
In her desperation, Sakura called for a council meeting. There was no particular agenda for the meeting, but a part of Sakura knew that this was just a first reaction. One that she needed to keep herself sane.
