"Your majesty, if I may speak, please," Mika, one of the council women, said, making Izanami look at her like she had a death wish.
It was dangerous to even think of interrupting Sakura in moments like these, but the members of the queen's council didn't want to be reduced to ashes right now. They still wanted to go home to their families, honestly.
They still wanted to see what tomorrow would hold and if they didn't play their cards right, there wouldn't be much left, especially now that Izanami was reeking of blood, death, and smoke.
They all knew what could possibly have been the reason for that, but none had the guts to say shit; not to Izanami and certainly not when the woman seemed to be more than ready to fight her daughter.
It was too dangerous a gamble, and frankly, it was scary to the core.
"Go ahead," Sakura laughed briefly.
Mika let out a sigh of relief.
