Sakura didn't say anything to her mother's taunts.
She stayed silent despite the blatant show her mother was giving everyone. It was clearly meant to paint Sakura in a different light, but the mad queen was still hurting from the things that had happened.
She was not sure how to process it all yet.
She was not in the mood to play games with her mother, which was a wise choice.
But Izanami…
Oh, Izanami was down for the games. She didn't care that there was a clear line her daughter had long drawn. All she cared about was the spotlight, and she would be damned if she let anyone take it away from her.
Maybe that was a mistake on Izanami's side because Sakura, even then, did bother to make any corrections.
Taking that as leverage on her daughter, Izanami continued to be filled with pride now that she had the support of the council – the same council that would be reduced to nothing if Sakura wanted to wish it so. Maybe they already knew that.
