After the second batch of trainees arrived, it took nearly two hours for the last batch to arrive.
By the time the last batch arrived, the dinner that initially still had some warmth was now completely cold. The white rice had become hard like stones, losing all its texture, but in the hands of the trainees, it was still as if it were a delicacy. As soon as they got their hands on it, they devoured it ravenously, wishing they could swallow the entire meal in one bite.
After eating their fill and getting some rest, the trainees either sat or lay on the ground admiring the night scenery, with some gathering together to discuss the day's harrowing experiences.
Some unfortunate team members accidentally fell into the mud, losing a military boot in the process, and later walked barefoot for a long time, feeling as if their leg was about to give out. Eventually, an officer found and returned the boot, allowing them to barely reclaim their leg.
