Chapter 272 - Chapter 271 - The Battle in Atlantic.

[Chapter Size: 2000 Words.]

Third Person POV

Atlantic.

...

...

"What...?" The princess and the guards barely had time to react, when, in the next moment, an explosion burst on the face of the enormous creature, still being bombarded by the attacks. But this was different — it wasn't a simple magical explosion, it was an explosion of pure force.

The creature was thrown backward, finally retreating for the first time, its face crushed. Severus was in front, in the air with his fist raised toward it, after having delivered a kind of punch, using brute strength alone to strike the sea monster's face.

"What is that?"

Immediately, people stopped firing their magical artifacts as the creature crashed violently to the ground, crushing even more the debris it had already created, destroying houses and structures in that part of the city.

No one from the people of Atlantica understood what was happening there, while all that could be seen was a person falling from a height of more than thirty meters.

"Who is that?" some men with magical weapons in their hands asked, while the impact still echoed through the area where the monster had fallen.

Severus landed on the ground. He wore no uniform or armor like the warriors of Atlanta. Even the people of Atlantica never wore black — they usually dressed in colorful casual garments, but never something entirely black.

Now, Severus stood there as a stranger to all eyes turned toward him, motionless, while the creature finally began to rise again. His jacket fluttered in the wind as he faced the monster. His gaze also shifted beyond it, watching the smaller creatures that the people of Atlantica were still fighting against.

"Who is that?" the king of Atlantica asked, stunned, as soon as he received the report about a stranger after seeing the creature being knocked down. He could see Severus from afar, a small black dot from that distance.

"We don't know who he is, my lord. He appeared out of nowhere!"

"This person is not from the Kingdom. Who is he? How did he end up here, and what is he doing... How did he manage to knock down the creature with a single punch?" he said, incredulous.

"Princess!" Shala ran to Thalindra, who was still stunned by what she had just seen.

The same man they had been summoned to capture in Great Britain — the one who had defeated her and everyone in her team — now appeared there, in her Kingdom, none other than the same one who had cast a shadow upon her. And now, he was attacking the creature that was devastating the Kingdom of Atlantica. If the situation wasn't already completely bizarre, she wouldn't know how to describe it.

"Princess, what's happening? Who is that?" Shala asked once again, while also looking toward the advisor and the princess's personal guard, who also seemed stunned.

"It can't be..." murmured Darius, blinking several times, finally snapping out of his state of shock. "Princess, he had one of those things in his shadow, and somehow switched places! He should be in the trial right now... Can he switch places with those creatures?" the man seemed confused, not knowing whether Severus had pretended to be a shadow or had truly exchanged positions.

The old man was thoughtful as well...

"Hey! Can someone tell me exactly what's going on here?! We have a man who just struck a monster that most of the Kingdom has been trying to fight without any effect!" shouted Shala, pointing, while the monster finally began to rise before them, glaring angrily at the human standing among the wreckage — the same one who had punched it.

"His name is Severus Prince. He's someone who's been causing trouble in Great Britain. We tried to fight him, but it was useless, and he proved to be stronger than the three of us and the others together... In the end, he was supposed to be at trial to discuss his actions right now... but now he's here," murmured the princess, becoming more and more confused and uncertain.

"What the hell..." growled Shala, still not understanding, staring at the scene while the creature roared and charged directly at Severus, wielding the giant trident to strike him.

They were still stunned that someone was there, willing to face the creature — and alone.

"Stop! Don't fire yet!" said one of the commanders, narrowing his eyes, trying to understand if that man really intended to fight the monster.

Severus, however, merely kept smiling as he saw the monster before him. Standing before the beast, he raised his hands — lightning began to surge, and he summoned his two daggers.

The daggers he had received from the false Baran.

"What do we have here? A monster quite suitable to be my shadow..." said Severus, gripping the daggers as they crackled even more intensely with lightning.

In the next instant, the creature attacked, and he advanced as well, vanishing from the spot as the ground exploded beneath his feet from the force of his kick.

Severus appeared right before the trident, using both blades to block the tip of the giant weapon. Although the trident was over twenty meters long, the daggers were no more than thirty centimeters.

The impact was deafening. Lightning burst around them, but, astonishingly, even with the absurd difference in size, everyone was left speechless when Severus managed to push the trident back — even in midair — making the creature lose its balance.

And before anyone could react, he vanished again, and in the next instant, a deep slash opened directly across the monster's eyes, which screamed in pain, losing its sight.

Everyone was shocked. The next moment, Severus began circling the creature's head at superhuman speed, inflicting multiple cuts as blood gushed everywhere. All that could be seen were the streaks of lightning he left behind as he continued his assault.

Several soldiers watched the scene, unable to follow the speed of his movements, while the creature tried to tear him off its head, roaring in rage with each new strike.

"I don't know who he is, but let's focus on the smaller creatures! They're coming this way!" shouted one of Atlantica's commanders. It seemed that the larger creature was being controlled or eliminated by that stranger. Whoever he was, he didn't seem to be their enemy, so the focus should be on stopping the other creatures from harming more Atlantican civilians.

The shots began once more around the area where Severus fought, while the creature tried to strike him, even hitting its own face, but he was far too fast. He moved like lightning, surrounded by bolts, slashing with his daggers.

Even so, that wasn't enough.

He pulled back, stopping about twenty meters away, his feet sliding across the debris. Turning his body, he raised his wand and pointed it toward the sky. Then, he pulled his arm downward.

A colossal bolt of lightning appeared out of nowhere, striking the creature's head from above. The flash was so intense that it temporarily blinded many of those watching. When the light faded, the creature's head was no longer there, and its massive body collapsed heavily to the ground, making the earth tremble.

"He... he defeated it!" murmured one of the men, staring at the fallen creature lying dead on the ground.

"I can't believe it..." another commented, his mouth slightly open.

"..." Even Princess _____ beside Shala, with her two companions behind her, was completely silent.

Even half of the gunfire had stopped, mesmerized by the scene that had unfolded before them.

"This wasn't the boss..." Severus remarked, looking at the creature with mild disappointment. He felt that this wasn't the most powerful creature he would face there. There had to be another one. The true boss.

"Hey, what are you doing here?!" the voice of Princess ____ sounded behind Severus, as she ran toward him. She stared at him, full of questions, her gaze firm and demanding.

Severus turned and met her blue eyes. "I came here when I learned about the situation of your Kingdom," Severus replied calmly.

"The situation of my Kingdom?" she murmured, confused. "How did you place that shadow on me? Why did you do it?! It was through it that you found out about Atlanta, wasn't it?" she demanded, stepping closer.

"You didn't want to answer my questions, yet you still piqued my curiosity," he said with a faint smile. "I wanted to know the truth, and then I discovered that you're the princess of Atlanta... Interesting. It's a beautiful Kingdom... I didn't know there were hidden realms in this world. Anyway, if you want to complain, do it later. There are more of them coming."

Severus turned, pointing toward the castle, and from the place where the structure had been destroyed by the first monster, another colossal creature — identical to the previous one, standing thirty meters tall — emerged, roaring in fury.

The people were still stunned by what had happened. The fact that Severus had used lightning magic capable of obliterating the head of such a massive creature was almost impossible to believe, when none of their cannons or spells had any effect against the monster. Even so, fear took hold of everyone when they saw the next beast approaching, while the smaller ones continued their assault.

"What are those things?" asked the princess, turning her gaze back to Severus.

He didn't answer her, but spoke to himself. "Let's start the show."

With that, his shadow began to expand beneath his feet, spreading across the ground, and, as the gnome had previously explained to the princess, there were dozens of them.

The shadows began to materialize around Severus, one by one, taking shape before the terrified eyes of all the people of Atlanta, with Severus once again leaving them utterly bewildered.

"Well, you already know what to do," said Severus calmly, as all his main shadows and soldiers prepared to fight. Even Voldemort was among the main ones, as he was part of them.

"Now, come right behind me!" ordered Severus, taking a combat stance along with the other shadows.

No one there, who had already witnessed the summoning of those black soldiers, could comprehend what was happening. Then, without hesitation, Severus simply darted forward, advancing at incredible speed toward the castle and the next approaching creature.

The shadows followed him, crossing the battlefield amid the gunfire. They began intercepting the monsters with precision. Though fewer in number, the main ones stood out.

Igris cut down enemies with speed and brutality. Voldemort unleashed green lightning — the Death Curses — striking them down one by one. Though effective, he wasn't as fast as the others. Tank and the ice elf lunged into the crowd, one slaughtering with brute force and the other with swift precision. The centaur fired yellow bolts that struck multiple monsters at once.

Juggernaut appeared as a living shadow, shrouded in black smoke, mutilating its prey with sharp claws, turning the creatures into a mass of shredded flesh.

The total destruction came when Kargalgan began firing streams of flames that consumed vast areas, burning everything around, while other shadows spread across the battlefield, attacking in different directions.

Meanwhile, Severus was already facing the new giant creature emerging from the castle. The gunfire ceased for a moment as the people of Atlantica watched, stunned, the shadowy figures massacring the monsters that had devastated the Kingdom moments earlier.

Severus, in his lightning form, climbed one of the castle's towers, moving at a speed no one could follow. He ran around the structure until he reached the head of the creature that had just passed through the entrance. Then, he raised his wand, channeled energy, and fired a colossal lightning beam straight through the monster's skull, piercing it from side to side.

The creature collapsed to the ground, and the crash echoed throughout the Kingdom — the second monster now dead.

Severus landed softly at the castle's entrance, while Igris appeared right beside him to accompany him.

"Let's see where these monsters came from and finish off the boss and all this chaos once and for all..." said Severus calmly, as he advanced into the castle, stepping over the dead monster's body.

Igris followed him in silence, ready for whatever came next.
