[3rd POV]
Locking eyes with the God of Symbiotes, Gwen's form began to glow a brilliant color, the surroundings shaking underneath her power as the roars of symbiotes almost seemed to echo in the surroundings.
Which didn't make sense as they were in space, but she supposed that was Knull's doing. The man's face warped into an even wider grin when their eyes locked, as the orbital cannons began to fire more and more, beams of light ripping into the billions of symbiotes that were now surging towards Earth from where they were.
And Gwen let them. As it was not her place to stop them, but the people she had set up, and the defenses crafted. No, her sole and only duty was to stall Knull and defeat him on her own. Only until the heavy hitters came to stall him even longer, while she would use project rebirth, which needed to be done at a very specific moment and at a specific time.
Which is why she hadn't just used it before he had gotten here.
Watching as the symbiotes surged past her, none of them daring to touch her, Gwen locked eyes with Knull as a blade glimmered into her hand. This blade was...Excalibur, the blade of Artoria Pendragon.
It was the best weapon for this situation, a counter to the power of the All Black Necrosword that he gripped in his hand. The blade born of Hope and Humanity, a blade that was glimmering with incredible power as her power flowed through it.
"You won't be making it to Earth" Gwen spoke out loud, knowing the grinning God Killer could hear her, as he rose from his throne. And with a deep breath, her power began to rise, as she blurred from her location, and reappeared in front of him.
Her blade slammed against his own, their clash shaking the space around them as her power continued to rise, another slash being aimed at his hip, only for him to block it again. Over and over and over she launched slashes and stabs and strikes, and each and every single one was blocked.
She knew he was stronger than her, he knew he was stronger than her. But she also knew that he was an arrogant entity, and she could use that. Not only that, but she was growing in power the more the fight would go on, the longer they fought, the harder it would be for him to defeat her.
And she was going to use that, as the dark entity slashed at her, causing her to deflect the blow to the left, before kicking him back, launching him through the throne and into the space behind them. The God only laughed in return.
"Hah! Weak, you are the best protection for this place? You thought you could rip me from that other universe to fight me? What arrogance" Knull said with a cackle, as he slashed at her, causing her to scowl as she moved at lightspeed, slashing at the entity.
But it would seem that Knull was used to fighting at the speed of light, and blocked her blow. A white beam forming into a hammer at the same time as it cracked against his side, his eyes widening in slight surprise as the white light of life slammed against him.
"Is this weak?" Gwen questioned as she blurred after him, ready to continue their fight.

At the same time, the symbiote fleet was now surging towards Earth and Mars, but mostly Earth. The orbital cannons were constantly firing at the fleet, ripping most of them to shreds. But the problem was that the stronger ones, aka the dragons, were effectively blocking and protecting a lot of the weaker ones.
Not only that, but the stronger ones seemed to be capable of producing their own symbiotes, likely something Knull had done while they were under fire from the orbital cannons. This meant that they'd be able to get onto Earth and then rapidly surge with more symbiotes, but as long as the orbital cannons kept firing, they'd continue to get obliterated before being able to do anything.
The heroes watching this all frowned.
"Seems Gwen was right. Knull made countermeasures for the cannons" Captain America stated as he watched the monitors, the Avengers around him as they were all ready.
Gwen had warned them of this, of the fact that Knull could effortlessly strengthen and change his symbiotes near him. That he would undoubtedly strengthen them in response to the power of the orbital cannons.
Too bad for him, he didn't know about the androids, the empowered Earth, and the massive army of heroes ready to battle against the invasion.
"It's not out of our expectations. We just have to continue with the plans that Gwen had made, and we should be able to hold them off while she accomplishes her project. And if she is right, once that project is used, then Knull will be easy for her to defeat" Tony stated, as Carol couldn't help but cut in.
"And what does this project entail? Why couldn't she use it before this?" Carol asked, it was a rather fair question for once, so nobody got annoyed with her.
"Something to do with evolving into a higher form, not sure what that means, but she is confident it will be enough to defeat him. And she couldn't use it because it takes time to set up, needs Knull to be stalled for a certain length of time, and a multitude of other things. Basically, it's complicated as all hell and not something she can just drink" Tony explained, as the woman slowly nodded in understanding.
"That and she needs Knull weakened even a little bit for you guys to go in and stall him. Without her weakening him, he'd just trample over all of you" Peter added, as they all knew that Knull was beyond any of them. Not even the Sentry could do jack shit against him.
Knull was a multiversal level entity at the least, so it wasn't far to say that he was beyond them. That he was a bigger threat and stronger than even Galactus.
"Understood. How long do we have before the barrier is eventually broken through?" Carol asked.
"Gwen estimated that it would be within a few minutes at most. The dragons can't get through normally, but once he pulls out the big guns, then they can get through easily" Tony responded, remembering her explanation on the Celestials that he had corrupted.
And the fact that they would need the Sentry and a few others to handle them, as otherwise they'll become a huge problem.
"And is the big guy ready for that sort of thing?" Clint asked on the side.
"He is. Gwen's been helping him with his...issues, and is confident that he will be able to stay under control while fighting against the invasion" Tony said with a nod, knowing that the Sentry had been receiving a LOT of therapy from Gwen who was the best therapist in the multiverse.
She was helping him understand the Void within him, and learning to accept it, as it is a part of him. And once he truly accepts the Void, he will become far stronger than he is now. And while he hadn't gotten to that point yet, Gwen was confident he would eventually.
"Good. With his help we can focus more on the small fry, and pray to God that Gwen can take out Knull" Captain America said, pleased to know that one of the strongest heroes would be able to safely help them in this invasion.
Staring back at the screens in front of them, the Avengers all had only one thought on their minds, and that was...
'...Let's hope Gwen can win, because if not...Earth is doomed'

The war will continue for another 3 chapters or so, and will have other POV's, before focusing back on Gwen in the last two chapters most likely.
