They were all robust flying dragons, ridden by massively built orcs who were not only equipped with giant composite longbows but also had rows of throwing spears strapped to their sides. All of them bore the same distinctive mark—an empty left eye socket, not a void, but instead shimmering with a blood-like glow.
If one or two were in this condition, it might be an accident, but if all were like this, then it was intentional.
This kind of orc had a specialized name—Eye of Gewush.
