Kayn held nothing back as he charged straight at the Celestial. In the short time it took him to arrive before her, he had already launched several Extinction Lightning Magic Bullets, but they were all deflected with a simple wave of her hand, leaving only blacked flesh if they actually touched her skin.
Even Kayn's full force punch that he threw by infusing several elements within his body was simply blocked by the woman's forearm. She was thrown back a few meters, but that was it, she didn't look injured at all.
"Is that all you have? You're worse than I expected." She put on a cocky face with an arrogant attitude, but inwardly she was sweating. 'Just who is he?! How could someone of this world have so much power?!'
Little did Kayn know that she had a protective talisman that would defend her body from a certain amount of damage before breaking, at which point she would have to be more cautious about taking any kind of damage. Even during the initial war against the Obsidian Void Dragons, they had only managed to use a few percentages of her talisman before the Celestials killed them all.
Now, however, this man who looked too young to be such an expert had reduced her talisman's protection by a full 22% within seconds of their fight starting! While the items they brought with them were restricted to a certain grade, not even she would be able to damage this talisman that quickly. Hell, none of the other Celestials who came down would be able to either!
That wasn't the only thing that startled her though, what the hell was that black lightning?! She felt its power through the protective coating of the talisman and dreaded actually getting hit by it.
Kayn was discouraged by the woman's attitude and the lack of damage he was able to deal her, but he didn't give up. He needed to get through her, or at least away from her, so that he could save Lara.
Not wanting to give Kayn the chance to eat through her talisman's protection anymore, Sidra withdrew two daggers from her belt that both let off an otherworldly feeling. Kayn felt extreme danger just looking at those daggers. As much as he wanted to use Analyze on them, he didn't have the time nor opportunity to read through their descriptions since as soon as they were in her hands, the Celestial attacked.
Without having a proper weapon to defend himself with against the two powerful daggers, he resorted to using intertwined mana threads between his fingers and his hands. As she swung the daggers, they would hit an invisible wire between Kayn's hands and with a smooth twisting motion, he would redirect the strike away from his body.
Kayn was constantly having to replenish his Mana Threads. He was weaving threads and creating stronger overall threads as the fight continued, ensuring that his defense was always up. However, Kayn's experience with fighting like this was minimal since he was used to using a sword, unfortunately the one he took from Palatine was basically broken at this point. The celestial had thousands of years under her belt fighting with two daggers against extremely strong opponents, which made it even more difficult for Kayn to adjust.
Eventually, Kayn received a slash to his cheek that immediately started pouring blood blackened with a dark viscous fluid. Seeing this, the celestial backed off. "So, it was you all along huh? We thought for sure the emperor would have the legacy bracers, but when we couldn't find them after centuries of searching, we figured he gave them to the princess, but we couldn't find them at where she died either.
"No matter, now that I've found them, they'll soon be in my hands. You don't have long now; the poison will finish you off within a minute. Any last words?" She asked as she sheathed the daggers at her sides.
"HAHAHA!" Kayn's sudden burst of laughter caught her off-guard. She expected him to be lashing out at her before his inevitable demise, but instead he was laughing?
"Let me say the same to you, is that all you've got?" Kayn said with a smirk as the wound on his cheek healed faster than Sidra could blink.
"What?" she couldn't help but mutter out loud. An Obsidian Void Dragon with regenerative capabilities who was able to detoxify the poison made specifically for his kind? That was just preposterous.
"Elemental Sword Domain!" Kayn shouted as he charged at Sidra gripping the closest elemental sword to him.
Sidra was startled at seeing all of the various elements spring to life around the beast she was hunting. It made absolutely no sense! How could any one individual control every single element? That was unheard of no matter what world one lived in! It was impossible!
'Once I kill him, I'll preserve and bring his core back with me for research. Then I'll most definitely be rewarded extremely well! I must kill him without damaging his core!' She thought to herself, forgetting how powerful he actually was. However, if she kept him on the defense, he would eventually exhaust himself before she did, or so she thought.
There were only a few individuals in this world that she and her counterparts would avoid unless working together as a group to fight them. One was an emperor they sought for help and paid generously for any leads in a land called Carnet. He was a peak 6th stage expert the last time she saw him, but he gave off an odd and uncomfortable aura, one that had danger written all over it. She was sure she could kill him, but wasn't positive if she would survive unscathed.
After all, the emperor of the Void Obsidian Dragons had killed a few of her counterparts before dying. He had some help, but it was still a feat that shouldn't be disregarded.
As for the half-beast in front of her? She had never heard of him nor someone having access to all elements as she didn't pay attention to worldly news. She was wary, but she was confident in her victory while fighting him alone. Heck, after their previous exchange she figured she would be able to toy with him with her daggers as he didn't seem very experienced in fighting against competent weapon wielders with his Mana Threads. Though they were invisible to her, she knew exactly what was happening and her senses helped determine where they were, especially because this half-dragon was mediocre at using them.
Unfortunately, her expectations were broken once again as soon as he struck her with the first elemental sword. Despite her blocking it and the elemental blade dissipating, her opponent smoothly moved onto the next sword and continued a relentless onslaught of attacks like a true master of the blade. She had only seen Sword Aura emitted by the very strongest in the Celestial world, those several levels above her own, but she was being attacked by it now, by some random nobody from a lower world!
Slowly, but surely, she was getting overpowered and overwhelmed by the sheer number of attacks Kayn threw her way. For 30 long minutes this continued until a change occurred, black blades of lightning, fire, wind, water, earth, and even ice started appearing in place of their normal elements.
She had held on well during these last 30 minutes only receiving attacks equivalent to 5% of her protective talisman, and she had even made several gashes on the half-dragon, though his wounds healed immediately, there was no way he could last much longer at this rate.
However, the black elemental swords made her nervous, she felt danger just by looking at them. It was like her very existence was in the crosshairs, not just her body.
After she blocked the first attack from a black ice sword with her daggers, she instantly changed the protection from the talisman to just her body. That attack alone on her daggers reduced it by 15%! She was willing to sacrifice the daggers as she had more weapons, but she only had one life!
A few attacks later, her daggers disintegrated to nothing from the point they were hit with a black fire sword. She immediately retrieved another set of daggers, but that split second it took her was all Kayn needed to blow a void infused Dragon Breath at her.
A torrent of Extinction Flames, Wind, and Lightning erupted on her body eating away at her protective talisman so quickly that she wasn't able to react before she felt the breath on her skin, eating away at her flesh and bone.
"ENOUGH!" She screamed as her aura erupted and she released some of her cultivation base that was sealed from coming down to a lower world. The black flames on her body dispersed and she pulled out a vial with a red substance which she quickly gulped down while Kayn was recovering from her intense mana release. Her missing flesh began to regrow at an astonishing pace and the anger in her eyes upon realizing she almost lost her life to some lower being, a beast no less, was clear as day.
"I don't know who the fuck you are, but this ends now!" She yelled as she was about to charge at the half-beast, only to notice something was wrong with him. Could he have finally succumbed to the poison of her previous daggers?
Kayn, however, was stunned in place, processing what the voice of the Wanderer's Villa had just said. Charlotte had been removed from his residency list…due to death?
Kayn's mind turned blank, then all he saw was red.
Rage. Anger. Fury. Resentment.
Kayn's eyes turned from crimson to black while the sclera turned purple. His snow-white hair became pitch black and hardened to look like scales. His arms and legs became elongated and clawed; his wings extended more than a meter each. His face became draconic and a red, black, and purple aura was visible around his body, swirling and growing like a massive tornado.
Then he released an ear-piercing roar so terrifying that the beasts underwater died from fright, the birds in the sky fell to the ocean either dead or knocked out, even the closest beings on land were incapacitated.
"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU ALL!" Kayn yelled with a mana infused voice.
For the first time, the full power of Kayn's primary and original sin manifested within his body.
Wrath had descended on Talgonoth.
