Amidst this, they heard someone clapping.
" What a touching scene in the middle of the forest. And here I thought, we will be encountering a fierce group but there are only 2 men and kids. What a shame."
A burly man accompanied by 2 others walked forward. There were more than 30 people a few paces behind them looking rough and carrying swords, clubs and long blades.
Phoenix took a few more steps forward but again was stopped by his father's words.
"Ah, the Terrible Trio. What bring you here?" Simon asked from behind the mask he was waiting.
Richards body tensed a bit hearing the nam but his hold on his sword never wavered a bit.
"It seems our name preceeds us. Alas it will be a shame to kill everyone along with this begger boy."
Something about the phrase the begger boy triggered something in his memory and Phoenix smiled. " So Logan hired you to kill me is it?"
"What if he did. You will all die today. Boys take down all the others and leave this begger boy infront of us. We will see how capable he is.
Boss, why wasts the life of so many beautiful ladies? Let us kill the 5 men and enjoy the girls. I can even see a little girl amidst them. Let me have her first. I had never had such a young girl before. I will enjoy her the whole night.
Laughter echoed all around them from the men standing behind the three leaders.
Before Simon or even Phoenix could take out their sword or react, a hunting knife swished next to Phoenix's ear and burried itself till its hilt into the forehead of the man who was speaking.
The man's expression changed to one of surprise before his body fell forward lifeless and the laughter died down all of a sudden.
Surprised, everyone looked at the source of the knife and saw Fred walking forward, his eyes red, his sword drawn. "Bastards. You want to lay your hand on a child. Come at me. Let me see who will have the final laugh."
Victor drew his own dual sword and started walking forward. Both their killing intent palpable to even Fiona.
"Fred, Victor. Thank you very much. Let us teach this bastards what happens when someone threatens our friends and family." Phoenix took out his own blad and all three boys started to walk forward.
"Charge... Kill the three bastards." All 30 or so bandits charged forward. One second Phoenix was with the other two and the next second he was infront of the bandits swinging his sword.
Victor and Fred also charged forward. Although they were not as swift as Phoenix, they were still faster than the bandits expected. The butchery started. Within a few seconds all the bandits lay down dead or dying.
The Terrible Trio had a Manic glint in their eyes. " Interesting, We thought of facing one somewhat capable boy but now we can have a seperate opponent." All three of them took out their blades and charged towards the three boys.
Richards slightly panicked and started to walk towards the charging killers but was stopped by Simon. " Relax man. We need more than those three to take down the boys. These kids are truely on a different level. Heck, they are even stronger that when you were in your final year Richards."
Hearing Simon's words, Richards relaxed. He knew if there were any danger, Simon would have already interfered by now.
The fight dragged on for more than 5 minutes. However, the kids didn't seems to tire down. On the contrary, they became fierce and doubled their attack. The air surrounding them started to shimmer and started to became heavy.
When the Terrible Trio started to use the mana, it started to miss its mark. Rather, the boys started to deflect the mana attack. "What a timing for your mana core to activate." Simon smiled.
After another couple of minutes, three head rolled down the ground. Two boys fell on their knees in exhaustion with a few deep wound all over their bodies. And one Boy standing their looking disappointed at the headless corpse.
" Alas, I was able to verify my progress and test only a few new moves." Phoenix shook his head. Sheated his sword after cleaning it and then started to poure healing portions to fred and Simon poured the healing portion to Victor.
Their injuries mended infront of everyone within a few seconds.
"Take the lotus position lads. You need to stabilize your core. Here drink this and atart meditating." Simon gave them a bottle of transparent liquid each and placed a barrier around them.
Son, keep a watch on them and the ladies. Richie, come with me. We need to dispose the bodies before the wild beast could get the whiff of the blood.
Both Simon and Richard carried more than 2 bodies at a time and piled them in one place. Far away from the current position of the group of people and set it on fire.
They returned back after almost a couple of hours by then, both boys looked to be able to stabilize their core but looked completely drained. Their posture hunched and dark circles around their eyes.
Simon gave them one more mana portion and their completion started to get back to normal.
" Girls, we will encounter few beasts tonight due to the blood apilled around us. Unfortunately we can't move the boys at this critical juncture. So, it will be an excellent opportunity for all 4 of you lass to get hands on experience facing and hunting the wild beast." Simon looked at them and told.
There was an excitement and fear evident on everyone's face. Exitement to face the beasts and beat them. Fear 9f facing the beast for the first time.
The wvening and the night wentby rather slowly. As Simon predicted, they encountered more than 20 of the wild beasts. Except to receive assist from Simon, Richards or Martha in facing their first wild beasts, all the girls were able to handle themselves well obtaining only a few shallow gashes.
At the daybreak, the two boys opened their eyes and let out a deep sigh. It took effor for them to stand up initially. After a small discussion, all of them agreed to get back to the town.
