Although they had lost the opportunity to claim the Endless Radiance Body for themselves, its potential benefits to the clan far outweighed personal ambition.
The Primal Physiques were extraordinary relics of the Great Thousand World. In ancient times, ten superpowers had been able to hold back the External Devil Clans, largely due to the strength of the ten warriors who wielded these Physiques. A sigh rippled through the gathered elders. They had dared to hope, only to see it dashed.
The representatives of other superpowers reacted differently. Some felt pity for Qing Yanjing, while others secretly felt relieved. Still, no one dared to express such thoughts openly.
Futuo Tian himself masked his disappointment, waving his sleeve to recall the Endless Radiance Body back into the Ancestral Pagoda.
Qing Yanjing bowed to the fading light, her expression conflicted. She then returned to Xiao Ze's pavilion.
Xiao Ze's Encouragement
As Qing Yanjing approached, Xiao Ze gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't let this weigh on you. The Endless Radiance Body is a Primal Physique of unparalleled power. Throughout history, only a handful have ever mastered it."
Qing Yanjing sighed, her lips curving into a faint, rueful smile.
"I'm not devastated, but there's still some regret. I was so close to merging fully with the light…"
Xiao Ze offered quiet reassurances, understanding how difficult it was to let go of such a rare opportunity.
A New Opportunity
Soon, Qing Yanjing's composure returned, and she seemed to recall something.
"Xiao Ze, do you have any urgent matters? If not, could you stay in the Floating Tuo Clan for a while longer? I'll need a partner for the upcoming Floating Tuo Trial."
"Floating Tuo Trial?" Xiao Ze asked curiously.
Qing Yanjing nodded and explained, "When our clansmen near the end of their lives, they send their Floating Tuo Towers to the Floating Tuo Plains. These towers produce a special energy called Floating Tuo Essence, which is immensely beneficial for cultivation.
