Chapter 820: Floating Tuo Essence
Xiao Ze agreed without hesitation to accompany Qing Yanjing on the Floating Tuo Trial. The bond between the two ran deep, and he was more than willing to help in any way he could.

Under Qing Yanjing's lead, they moved toward the deeper regions of the Floating Tuo Realm, encountering numerous clan members along the way. Many were accompanied by outsiders individuals who hadn't cultivated Floating Tuo Towers and thus served solely as combat support.
Eventually, they arrived at a vast black plaza that exuded a heavy, mountainous aura. Above the plaza, the space rippled and twisted, revealing a boundless expanse of plains dotted with countless Floating Tuo Towers.
A short while later, Futuo Tian, the clan leader, appeared. His gaze swept over the gathered participants, pausing momentarily on Xiao Ze and Qing Yanjing before addressing everyone.
"The Floating Tuo Towers within these plains are the gifts of our ancestors. You must proceed cautiously and know your limits excessive greed will only bring harm."
With a wave of his sleeve, Futuo Tian activated the plaza, causing the twisted space above it to transform into a shimmering portal. The Floating Tuo Plains were now open.
Entering the Plains
Xiao Ze observed as numerous clan members, primarily at the Earth Sovereign level, eagerly stepped into the portal. Only a few Heavenly Sovereigns, Qing Yanjing among them, were present.
According to Qing Yanjing, each clan member could only enter the Floating Tuo Plains once in their lifetime, and only if they were under a hundred years old. While many waited until they reached the Earth Sovereign level to maximize their gains, true prodigies waited until they became Heavenly Sovereigns to tackle the more powerful Floating Tuo Towers deeper within the plains.
Upon entering, Xiao Ze was struck by the unique energy emanating from the Floating Tuo Towers scattered across the plains.
The plains weren't a burial ground but a sacred repository. Before their deaths, Floating Tuo clan members would send their cultivated towers into these plains as a gift for future generations. The towers radiated the Floating Tuo Essence, a special energy that could greatly enhance the strength of clan members.
As Qing Yanjing explained, "These plains are like a miniature version of the Ancestral Tower. Our ancestors' contributions continuously strengthen us, ensuring the clan's prosperity for generations."
She then gestured toward the horizon.
"Our goal lies deeper in the plains. Let's go."
Battling the Blood Dragon
The deeper they ventured, the more immense the Floating Tuo Towers became. Towers hundreds, even thousands of feet tall loomed over them, radiating immense power.
Suddenly, a deafening roar erupted from one of the colossal towers. A crimson beam of energy shot toward them, tearing through the air with devastating force.
Xiao Ze extended a finger, summoning a thread of Golden Flame that incinerated the crimson energy in an instant.
Qing Yanjing's gaze shifted toward the tower.
"The Floating Tuo Essence within this tower might be beneficial for me."
With a mutual nod, the two entered the tower.
Inside, they were met with the intimidating sight of a scarlet dragon coiled menacingly in the center. The dragon roared, unleashing a torrent of blood red energy.
Xiao Ze responded by unleashing his Empyrean Flame, which swelled to an enormous size and burned through the dragon's attack. In a matter of moments, the scarlet dragon itself was consumed, leaving behind only a streak of black and gold energy floating in the air.
Qing Yanjing's eyes lit up as she stared at the energy.
"That's the Floating Tuo Essence! For us clan members, it's as precious as the power of a continent itself."
Xiao Ze handed the essence to her.
"Go ahead and refine it. I'll stand guard."
With a grateful smile, Qing Yanjing sat down, drawing the black and gold energy into her body.
Xiao Ze's Harvest
As Qing Yanjing refined the essence, Xiao Ze turned his attention to his own gains. His Empyrean Flame had absorbed remnants of the scarlet dragon's energy, enhancing its strength.
Even though he couldn't directly use the Floating Tuo Essence, the benefits of this journey were already clear.
If every encounter in these plains yields such results, this trial will be well worth it.
