THE HOODED ONE'S POINT OF VIEW.
I analyse Rave proficiently,
He would be a rather good looking young man if he wasn't always scowling;
He has slick black hair, sharp hooded eyes that are the colour of warm spring green,an elegantly pointed nose and lips a pale red hue, he is muscular and tall, with skin tawny and fine, with some scars as the only teint to absolute bodily perfection.
Presently he stands with his knees bent, strugglling to hold up the weights I have placed on his shoulders,
-I am almost getting tired of his endurance-
"It has been three hours already…why not just give in?" I ask wearily,
"I like to push myself, no matter what it takes to achieve my goal"
He mumbles breathlessly.
I muse to myself ;
-Very well then…-
With a wave of magic, I increase the weight on the Yoke converted to my soul medium by a hundred.
-This should do it-
He groans in pain, but maintains his balance
-This both annoys and interests me-;
I increase the weight again,
This time he yells out in pain, and I'm sure his bare shoulders have begun to bleed, but;
-He's still standing-
I sigh in defeat as I diminish the weight to nothing.
He falls down face flat
-He may not accept it but he's beat-
"You're something else aren't you?" I say as I watch him motionless on the floor;
"Most students ask what the point of physical training is… they always complain and some even neglect it... but you seem to embrace it…"
He looks up at me as if he'd love to land me a few punches.
I am pleased, because without a doubt..
I'm certain
-He has it in him-

CANADA'S POINT OF VIEW.
The beast finally drops.
I sigh in relief…then,
- I drop as well-
My eyes close slowly as my body is hauled out of the cage rather roughly.
I smile to myself.
-I survived-
*************
I wake up with a start.
I find myself on my bed;
-Gasping for breath-
My sleep was plagued by suffocating nightmares full of the horrible beasts, crawling all over me, chanting;
"Fail…"
"Fail..."
"Fail..."
I gasp in terror at remembering the realistic nature of the nightmare.
"Rough sleep?"
Taki asks, breaking into my reminisces, I turn towards her bedside, she lays down on her bed so still,
-It almost looks like she's dead-,
I smile to myself,
- We unexpectedly made an excellent team-
"Many people died.." Taki suddenly mentions sombrely;
"We're even fewer left than what was estimated…so…" she pauses,
"They've decided to combine our training with the mage students"
I gasp as I sit up;
"That's a horrible idea…right?" I peeve,
Taki shrugs,
"I think it would be rather exciting…" she grins;
"Plus…I think it will improve 'friendly' competition and make us know more about the Mages and stuff"
-Actually, come to reason it-,
It's only now I feel the adrenaline pumping
-I am more excited than I thought-

THE HOODED ONE'S POINT OF VIEW.
I stare around the Council table.
And what do I see?
-Idiots-,
-Idiots everywhere-
I am notably silent as I watch the lousy deliberations
-Everyone else is not
- Such an 'honorable' hall is full of idiotic talk and unnecessary hassle,
A thought makes me smile to myself;
-I wonder if Rave is still at the exercise I gave him or if he's finally given up-
"FIRST UPPER MAGE"
This address snaps me out of my thought's digression,
My nerves become alert;
"Yes…Head upper mage?…"
My tone is somewhat playful -my countenance is not-
Suddenly the atmosphere tenses,
-Is it something I said?-
The Upper mage sighs heavily,
-Tired of my conduct?-
"What do you think about the combo?",
I stare at him,
-Oh right, the idea to combine Mage and Reverred Student Screening-
He stares back at me, trying hard to read my expressions, -My hood permits him not-,
I shrug;
"It's not so bad an idea I suppose"
